Big fan of the building, in a great location with excellent amenities and top notch maintenance staff
Great except for security
I like everything about the building from management to maintenance, location, apartment finish…BUT, I don’t feel safe in it. I think there should be security systems in elevators where only people with the fobs can use the elevator by scanning their fob, i also know some of the security staff just let random people walk in or let visitors only write down their name and walk in without calling the apt tenant to confirm visitors are allowed to go up. That’s the only area of improvement but everything else is great
Exhibit Experience
I've had an unfortunate experience in this building. It began from my expressed concerns about the state of the unit upon my move in (state of the patio, hair all over the unit from a previous tenant, etc.) that were never addressed (my lease ends in a few days). When my mother expressed concern that the unit was not what we had viewed, a leasing agent asked where my mother was from and said "this isn't Indiana". I've lived in 3 River North high rise buildings over the last 5 years, and I know what the standard is. My packages were sent back after not notifying me that they had arrived. A male maintenance staff member entered my apartment after I'd asked that they knock vs. entering my apartment unannounced. It was highly uncomfortable. Then lastly, when I asked what the rate for a 1 month extension on the unit would be given that I couldn't view other units during the pandemic, they offered the 1 month extension at over 2.5X my current rate. I had other people living in similar rental buildings in River North (3Eleven, Hubbard221, etc.) the same question to see if this was the standard, and they were all offered 1-2 months extensions at the same rate in goodwill given everything that was going on in the world. My most positive experience was during my move out when they did not double book the dock and freight elevator like they did for move in, and I didn't have to pay my movers 2 additional hours to wait for leasing to figure it out.
