1st Days

I’ve only been here a couple of days but i love the location. Joan was amazing. I haven’t met Adam in person yet, but communication has been good and he made it very easy to get my keys, etc. the apartment was vlean when i moved in. It’s very small, but i like it. It would be nice if the lobby was updated a little. The loveseat has definitely seen better days.

long term tenant for a reason

I am a commercial tenant, i don't live in the space but have rented here for almost 15 years. I was prompted to fill this out so I am. This is a wonderful location and a great building. The sidewalk could be better maintained out front, and in general, the facade could be maintained better. There was a broken gate for weeks, and graffiti on the building for several weeks. Frequent construction in the building sometimes disrupts the *vibe* in our commercial space.

Not Worth the Rent

The apartment itself is great, the location is amazing, but the oversight, service, and general upkeep of the building from Brick + Timber has left much to be desired. The elevator was out of service for almost 2 months, the washing and drying machines being functional is always a gamble, and the security of the building itself has been questionable at best. This level of care for residents, and lack of communication is frankly embarrassing considering the steep price of the units in the building. B+T touts other high end residences around the city with white glove service, I just wish our beautiful building received the same care. Some of the residents of my building have lived there for over 30 years, you would think B+T would try to protect its most loyal renters. The reality is, the price of rent in this limited amenities (a functioning washer and dryer) and limited service building for just a studio apartment is too much to maintain for someone at an entry level or service job. If B+T was able to provide more care to building residents, that might offset the incredibly steep price.

Poorly maintained

Washing machine has been out of service for a month, elevator is always going in and out of service. Once the building was bought, the care went down hill.
