Property reviewsVirginia G. on Apr 4, 2025After once receiving an eviction notice on the door instead of a phone call back about a maintenance issue, and getting the explanation that they're "too short staffed to answer every request," we are again having difficulty with an office team that is not resident-service oriented. We deal with it to keep the proximity we like, and neighborhood with everything we want.
Nathan W. on Jul 11, 2025I’m disappointed in how our apartment management handled a serious A/C outage on Saturday, June 28th. The lack of communication, failure to follow through, and overall response were incredibly frustrating. We submitted an urgent work order at 2:06 PM when our A/C went out and the temperature was rapidly rising. I called the office line multiple times, but the automated system didn’t allow me to reach emergency maintenance or the front office. I also emailed the office explaining that we had to leave due to the heat (it had reached 80°F) but that maintenance had permission to enter. Despite more calls, texts to CIM Group staff, and work order updates throughout the day, we didn’t get a response until 9:06 PM, when I finally got through by randomly clicking phone options. The tech arrived at 9:50 PM but couldn’t fix it and said he’d return the next morning. By then, our apartment had hit 89°F. It was too hot to sleep safely, so a friend helped us book a discounted hotel. We paid $88.30 out of pocket. The technician returned the next morning with the wrong part but did leave two portable A/C units for our bedrooms—which should’ve been provided the night before. On Monday, I had to go to the office in person to get an update. Later, I submitted a rent credit request for the hotel cost. After two unanswered emails, I visited the office again and was told the hotel stay was “our choice” and wouldn’t be reimbursed—even though staff confirmed that portable units should have been provided Saturday since the indoor temp was over 80°F. This isn’t the first time we’ve had to chase down basic service. We weren’t asking for extra—just reimbursement for what we reasonably spent during a health-impacting situation. It’s disappointing that the office wouldn’t do the right thing. Renters should be aware of how service issues are handled here.

Property reviewsLia F. on Jul 31, 2024It has been wonderful living at Le Montreaux. I have been here for a year and a half now. The apartments are in great shape and isolated enough that you get no neighbor noise. Parking is always available and much of it is covered. There is a great pool, a solid gym, and a good quiet but lively community. The staff (Mary and Renee) are always affable, quick, and helpful. Maintenance comes quick. The area is very safe. I highly recommend.
Vivian A. on May 14, 2024Any problem that I have in regard to the maintenance always is taken care of promptly. All the office staff and maintenance are very respectful and kind. I have lived in these apartments 10 years and that is one thing I can say that they are quick to assist with any problems I have had. If it will be something that has to get ordered or take longer, they let explain what has to be done. These are the only apartments that I have lived in that problems have been fixed quickly. Thank You for all you hard work. Vivian Alires

Property reviewsAnonymous on Apr 5, 2024We are coming to a close on our first year living here and have only had good experiences! The outdoor aspect is great, as well as the amenities.
Anonymous on Mar 12, 2024I have really enjoyed my time at Monterey Oaks! The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The common areas are very clean and well taken care of. The complex is quiet which is so nice! I love the outdoor area in the back with the jogging trail and the dog park. I don't have a dog but I love to see them all out and about. The volleyball area is great on the weekends with friends. I never have trouble parking close to my building. All in all - a great place to live!

Property reviewsEmily B. on Jan 25, 2022My husband and I have only been here for two months and we LOVE it. The grounds are beautiful, the location is amazing, and our unit is stunning! We are so incredibly happy with The Madison. Ben and Niesha have been kind and responsive to any needs we have had. We hope rent will stay close to what it is now, because we definitely plan on staying here for a very long time!

Property reviewsOscar G. on Aug 2, 2024We have lived here for 7 months and enjoyed a peaceful life. The maintenance crews respond faster than I have ever experienced in 13 years living in an apartment. The walks to the mailbox, urban forest and sounds are enjoyable each day, all still within minutes of shopping areas nearby. From the beginning, the staff have been nothing but friendly to us. The gyms and equipment are such that I don't need to pay for memberships outside of here, and personally, the topography makes a plain evening jog become an intense workout. Moving here was a great choice, and the affordability makes it all even better for us.
Anonymous on Jul 30, 2024Everything looks amazing so far, will update this review depending on my experience.

Property reviewsAnonymous on Jun 12, 2025Great location. Nice wooded area with stunning sunset views.
K.S. on Jan 2, 2025Having been a resident here for almost 11 years, I have seen a lot of changes recently. Not only are they improving the property itself, but the experience living here has been dramatically different ... and that is because of the Management team. I have gone from having my concerns for years being ignored or being told that there is nothing that can be done, to seeing steps being taken to address those concerns. The manager, Kate, from the start, treated me as a valued member of this community and assured me that my questions and concerns mattered. Lucy and Q are both such a delight to interact with and are patient with my questions and go the extra mile to assure me that I belong! I was told by past Management teams here that apartment living was just temporary housing but this team understands that for me, a later-in-life ex-hippie, this is my home. And that makes a world of difference!! And that difference is because of Kate, Lucy, and Q!!! Plus ... they love my dogs, Chloe and Cooper.
