The staff have gone out of their way to ensure a smooth move-in process, and even some of the residents have extended a a greeting or a helping hand. Very welcoming and safe feel to the place. Not to mention the ideal location!

Property reviewsPatricia M. on Nov 27, 2024I lived here from summer of 1968 to summer of 1969. I think my efficiency apartment was #607. It was on the opposite side from the church and overlooked a big, empty lot. It was called Hetherington House then. I loved the louvered screen doors and the big, walk-in closet. Miss Daisy worked on the front desk and Chappy was the mainteneance man. My rent was $110 a month.

Property reviewsAnonymous on Dec 16, 2023I've lived in twin oaks for 16 years. I moved out because i bought a condo. Living there has been a wonderful experience --the staff are friendly; maintenance timely, and while the neighborhood can be lively and loud, once you are inside you apartment, you can't hear anything your neighbors in their units. The location can't be beat either. I really missed the place.
Blue on Nov 24, 2021The staff at Twin Oaks are very helpful and available when you call. Very happy with my nee home. Thank you Zadia!

Idaho Terrace
3040 Idaho Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20016STUDIO $1,533+ 1 BED $1,971+ 2 BEDS $3,007
Property reviewsAnonymous on Nov 4, 2024It's quiet, in a great neighborhood, and it's conveniently located. One bus line will no longer be going through, so it will be a 2-5 minute walk to the bus stop. there are some parking spots available for guests to park in the daytime, which is convenient for family visiting. It's comfortable and incredibly well maintained. Management is responsive. I'm lucky to have found this place!
Anonymous on Mar 1, 2023I moved in over the summer and I'm from out of the area. This apartment building has friendly staff and responsive maintenance. My only complaint is that for how expensive the apartments are, the equipment is outdated (Gas stove, older fridges, etc). But an overall great place if you're looking for an apartment in a more residential area.

Property reviewsAnonymous on Mar 2, 2025Amazing location and staff, apartments with character and a beautiful rooftop amenity space. I've lived here for 2 years and literally have never waited more than 15 minutes for maintenance to respond to any requests I have. Cleaning staff, front desk, and maintenance are all so friendly and the building is beautiful and in a wonderful location. It's been an amazing home to me :)
Amy S. on May 7, 2023It’s in the center of Adams, Morgan, and extreme walkable and convenient for transit. The central position does mean that it is noisy, and. Only has extremely limited street parking

Property reviewsAmanda on Feb 27, 2023I have really enjoyed living at the Diplomat! From the start, Daisha has been an amazing asset to the team and Arthur has always been helpful. The gym access, roof access, and location are all top-notch and can't be beaten. The noise level is perfect - as in there is rarely any issue. The only thing I would say could be made better is parking (having an exit and an entrance would be ideal!) Having parking as an option though has been wonderful.
Anonymous on Sep 22, 2021This is a fantastic building to live in. There's responsive staff to any issue I have, and the location is perfect.
-
Property reviewsAnonymous on May 5, 2023I have lived here for about three years now and I am happy with the location and amenities. The apartment has a lot of closet storage for its relatively small size. You do have to be vigilant about keeping your place clean to avoid attracting critters, but that's' just part of city living.

2100 Connecticut
2100 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20008STUDIO $1,680+ 1 BED $2,250+ 2 BEDS $3,459+
Property reviewsH. W. on Jun 30, 2023Our apartment has been a great place to live. The building is well-maintained, and maintenance requests are fulfilled isually within 24 hours. Even though it is an old building, we haven’t had any issues with pests. The management company is communicative and professional, and they are a big reason why it’s been so pleasant to live here.
Anonymous on May 14, 2023I have lived in this studio for two years now, and it's been a great value for the location and service (including maintenance) for around $1750 per month (utilities included). The location is my favorite part. You can easily walk to busy streets such as 18th St in Adam's Morgan and down Connecticut Ave to DuPont Circle, but you can also walk around the quieter neighborhood streets in Kalorama. at Even though the apartment is on Conn Ave, it does not get too loud at night or in the day (aside from the occasional motorcade). The rooftop is also a nice plus and it gets good views. In terms of the space itself, it is wide and open and gets pretty good sunlight (facing Conn Ave). For a studio, the kitchen is quite small and can be difficult to store pots/pans or do much counter work, but one can easily make do. The bathroom is also somewhat small, but still cozy enough. The actual living space is great and clean, the wooden floors are pretty and the walls between apartments seem pretty thick, but closer to the door, you can hear people in the hallways, but it rarely gets rowdy. Maintenance and staff are amazing. If you submit a request, you will likely get it addressed the same or next available day. They have helped with A/C filters, sink clogs, paint peeling and whole bathroom refurnishing.

1600 Pennsylvania Ave SE Apartments
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20003STUDIO Ask for Pricing 1 BED $1,850+ 2 BEDS $3,140+
Property reviewsJorge N. on Jul 12, 2025Our place is well located near Capitol Hill about 5 min walk from the metro and 10 min walk from Eastern Market. The roof terrace provides great views of the city and nearby Anacostia River. Reserved parking is available in the garage or outside for a monthly fee. Our apartment is well illuminated with lots of windows and high ceilings, thus making the space feel more spacious. The amenities are nice, but on the smaller size. Staff are nice and maintenance is very responsive to requests. However, the management company seems to have quite a bit of turnover. The only drawback is the outside noise, being on Pennsylvania Ave, we do get some noise from traffic and emergency vehicles.
