Pretty nice but overpriced

The apartments have a cute layout and the location is great for people who enjoy walking around town. However, the parking is limited and insanely expensive considering how much we already pay in rent and studios/1 bedrooms are not allowed more than one car even if a couple occupies the apartment. So if both people need a car for work, one person is stuck parking several blocks away in a random neighborhood spot. Rent has gone up, and like everywhere, is way overpriced for what you get. Every “amenity” costs extra as they are really just independent businesses located on the floor level- so there is a coffee shop and a gym and a little convenient store, but the gym isn’t free to use for tenants or anything like that. There is a workshop area in the bike garage though, so I guess that’s a free amenity. If you don’t have a dog, be prepared to track dog hair into your home anyways. They decided to make this a dog friendly community with carpeted halls. The hallways always smell like wet dog and dog pee- The stairwells always smell disgusting because because the dogs don’t always make it outside in time and the owners don’t clean up after them- but again, it’s all carpet, so some of that is on the apartment complex for sure. I would think that a did friendly place would have considered hard floors and a cleaning service that takes place more frequently. The noise factor is about what you’d expect from a newer apartment complex- little sound proofing. You can hear everything happening in the hallway from inside the apartment- I think they could have at least insulted that one wall better. I stay here for the location and because it’s a hassle to keep moving every year to try and beat out the rent increases- but if you don’t care about being within walking distance of downtown and old mill, I recommend going elsewhere. It’s just really overpriced for what you get. Seriously! Rip out the carpet!
