I would like to mention that Joe was professional and genuinely tried to help everyone and maintain a safe environment. However, the storage facility seriously needs to address its rat problem before more customers decide to move out. I rented a unit for almost two weeks and originally planned to continue renting long-term, but the poor experience made me change my mind. Half of my storage space was covered with sand — I have no idea how that much sand could even get inside a closed unit — and the presence of rats was extremely disappointing. I ended up having to throw away some of my belongings that weren’t kept in boxes because of rat waste inside the bags. This was truly an unpleasant experience, and I hope management takes immediate action to improve the conditions. ... Read more

Joe has been amazing at helping my dad and I pick a storage unit and making changes when our plans altered. He took the time to understand what our needs were in order to pick the right size unit. He also was able to easily guide us through the process and policies of the facility. We plan on being long term customers because of Joe’s kindness. ... Read more

The property, including the units, are clean, secure, and well-managed, which is hands down due to the facility manager, Joe. He goes above and beyond not just to keep the property clean, but to make sure every customer feels at ease and safe storing their belongings there. Without doubt this has been the best storage unit my husband and I have ever rented from within the bay area. Joe is the reason we’re loyal customers, and we’re so grateful for his dedication in what he does. We honestly wouldn’t consider storing our belongings anywhere else. ... Read more

I've been a customer of Secure Storage for over a year now. Whenever I have an interaction with staff, they are always so friendly and accommodating. I recently lost all my keys, I went into the office and spoke to Joe. He was very friendly, thorough and efficient. I felt silly as it is about losing my keys. He went and cut off my lock, got my a new lock. It was super quick! It's like he was The Flash! Thank you Joe for not making me feel silly for the whole key thing and for being super fast! ... If you’re looking for a storage facility that actually delivers on its promises, this is the place. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this facility is well-maintained, well-managed, and genuinely focused on keeping your belongings safe. The staff here is easily the best part of the experience. They’re knowledgeable, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you need. I had a few questions about unit sizes and pricing, and they took the time to explain everything without any pressure or upselling. It’s rare to find customer service this solid these days, and it made the whole process smooth and stress-free. As for security, they take it seriously. Between the gated entry, cameras, and clean, well-lit grounds, I felt completely comfortable leaving my items here. It’s clear that this isn’t one of those rundown, forgotten storage places—everything is in great condition, and it shows. The units themselves are clean, easily accessible, and available in a range of sizes. I had no issues getting in and out, and the whole experience was hassle-free from start to finish. Overall, SecureSpace lives up to its name. It’s safe, well-run, and backed by a team that actually cares about its customers. If you need a storage solution, I’d absolutely recommend them. ... I initially thought having a pull-up unit at SecureSpace Storage on Lonus would be convenient, but I quickly realized it was a mistake. My items were constantly covered in dirt and debris, making it impossible to grab anything quickly without deep cleaning it first. At one point, I noticed rodent control packets had been placed inside my unit, which raised concerns—especially since I used my own lock from a previous unit. It seemed like someone had accessed my space and thrown them in. By the time I moved out, there were clear signs of a rodent infestation—feces on the ground and items that had been chewed through, forcing me to throw some things away. On top of that, the unit doors are old and unreliable. Mine got stuck multiple times, and on one occasion, I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get someone to help—on a Sunday, no less. The biggest reason I left, though, was the rental rate hikes. I started at $151/month, and within a year, it jumped to $269. They raise rates multiple times a year, anywhere from $30-$45 per increase, which is unsustainable for long-term storage. A rep eventually told me that you can call to request a rate freeze when you get a price increase notice. I did this, and he claimed it was submitted—but sure enough, my rent still increased. That was the final straw. If you value your belongings and want to avoid rodents, unsanitary conditions, questionable security, aging units, and skyrocketing rent, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. ... Read more

To whom it may concern, As a first time renter at your storage facility I was extremely happy with everything. The moment I arrived I was greeted by a gentleman who i believe us your property manager, he was very courteous and professional. He gave me information on all the questions I had and was thorough explaining all the property rules as well as all the rates and current specials you are running. His attention to detail in handling my needs for a storage were above and beyond and I want to thank you. In no time he was able to help me pick the unit I needed handle all the paperwork with me and make sure I new where it was on the property as well as that the light worked in my unit and it was spotless upon entering to view it. I have worked in hospitality industry for 35 plus years and can honestly say his attention to detail and explaining everything along with his very friendly courteous attitude lends to his excellent customer service skills. I am very pleased with the unit as it is just right for my needs and I will recommend your property particularly this one to slll my friends and people I know who need a storage unit 10 stars for having someone as professional and experienced as he is and the property is immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. It shows he takes great care in his work and his job. Thank you once again for such a perfect experience in a time where I needed it I highly recommend renting from here the rates along with the manager being so attentive and property being clean it’s a win win all the way around. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 900 Lonus Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 290 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 900 Lonus Street start from $20 and can go up to $367 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
