How often do you actually have an enjoyable experience when doing something like signing up for a storage rental...??? Well, I don't necessarily dislike having to do things like this, but it's not my favorite... but rarely do I actually enjoy it... however, this time, I actually did!!! Uriel was a pleasure to meet and work with... he made it a painless, quick, and easy process. He was very welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and he's all an around good, kindhearted man. I highly recommend giving Bay Area Self Storage Bird Ave your business ... Read more

Prior to getting our storage unit, I had spoken to Anthony on the phone a couple of times. He was always pleasant and so helpful! He went above and beyond when we met in person to make sure we got everything completed in the timeframe that we needed. Excellent customer service and so far we are very happy the unit and location! ... Read more

This facility checks all the boxes! I feel good about it's location on Bird and Willow rather than getting a storage unit on the other side of 87 (I don't feel as safe there). The storage units are clean and the staff is fantastic! Kristi helped me process in, and then eventually out when I no longer needed extra storage. There's no hard sales pitch. All the supplies for moving are conveniently located in the office. I've used them twice and I'd highly recommend them. Kristi, thank you for being responsive, helpful and providing awesome customer service! ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Bay Area Self Storage - 1140 Bird Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 290 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Bay Area Self Storage - 1140 Bird Avenue start from $64 and can go up to $584 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
