Nashville, Tennessee is an amazing cultural city, especially for music fans. But not too many people know that it is one of the largest U.S. cities by area, sprawling over 476 square miles, 10 times the size of San Francisco, California. If you were to explore the city from its NW end to its SE end in a straight line, it would be like crossing Miami, Philadelphia, and Washington DC one after another. Or if you started walking from the Eastern city limit going west, it would be like hiking through Manhattan, then Pittsburgh, cut through Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and finally cross San Francisco, to make it to the opposite end of town. A city with a population of merely 654,000, Nashville is so giant, it could easily fit 7 large U.S. cities inside it which have a combined population of 5.4 million.
