Live here 32 years. A great place to live.

    5/5 Charlie B. on Dec 1, 2023

We have been here for 12 years. I can't say anything bad or negative. On rare times a work order is submitted and usually taken care of right away. The office staff is always so pleasant and caring. Walking to my car in the lot, I am always greeted and made to feel very special. The office here has an open-door rule at all times. I have traveled the world and lived in many places. This place rates as one of the best to stay at. We feel very safe living here. I notice Police patrol the property a couple times a week. We are close to I-95, the BLVD and the Turnpike. It is a perfect setting for work avenues. It's important to consider this place. We have been here for so long mostly due to health reasons. The complex looks out for us all the time.

I have lived here for a little over 3 weeks and have had no concerns. The leasing staff, specifically Annie, were super helpful and patient with all of my questions! The property managers Ishea & Asia have also been very responsive when I had an inquiry about ordering new set of keys. Maintenance has also been super fast and helpful! Would definitely recommend living with AMC as they are organized and efficient.

My partner and I just moved into the building approximately three months ago, and our experience has been pleasantly surprising. Unlike most buildings, the housing manager responds quickly, and the corresponding maintenance is performed promptly. Furthermore, the location is safe, quiet, and full of history. On top of that, the apartment is spacious, giving my partner ample room to work from home without feeling smothered by their work station. For the price we pay to stay here, this could only be described as a hidden gem.

I have lived here for about 7 months now and have really enjoyed this apartment! The location is unmatched, and the apartment is spacious and fits me and my partner perfectly. Being in Center City obviously comes with some cons, like the loud drivers on Walnut Street, but the proximity that we are to so many amazing restaurants, parks, and other public amenities completely outweighs the negatives. The staff are extremely helpful and kind, and the maintenance staff are quick and efficient. There are some aspects of upkeep that could be a bit better. For example, our apartment was not cleaned upon moving in, and the washer and dryer that are shared amongst everyone in the building are not great quality (my clothes always end up still wet after a drying cycle). There have been some other little things, mainly pertaining to cleanliness in the basement and upon moving in, but in all I feel this unit is worth it!

Philadelphia, PA in the news

Living in Philadelphia, PA

Living in location

Full of history and rustic architectural styles, Philadelphia is a large city in the southeastern corner of Pennsylvania with a reputation for live music venues, shopping, culinary arts and never-ending entertainment. Those renting in Philadelphia are within 100 miles northeast of Baltimore, 105 miles southwest of New York City and 134 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. When renters aren't busy cheering for the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers, Philadelphia is all business. In fact, Fortune 500 companies such as Comcast, Rite Aid, Lincoln National, DuPont de Nemours and Walmart maintain strong presences here. To that end, the three biggest industries when renting in Philadelphia are life sciences, financial services, technology and advanced manufacturing. Aside from its iconic cheesesteaks, Philadelphia renters enjoy fine dining such as Italian, soul food, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, French, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese. For renters with children, public education is provided by the School District of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia's allure extends beyond its vibrant cityscape to its rich cultural tapestry, shaped by a diverse population that mirrors the city's colorful mosaic of neighborhoods. Each area boasts its own unique charm, from the historic cobblestone streets of Old City to the verdant paths of Fairmount Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country.

Renting in Philadelphia, PA

Students; artists; New York and Washington, D.C. commuters; and young professionals are all attracted to a diverse range of rentals, from historic brownstones to modern apartments for rent. Here, Chestnut Hill is a high-end residential neighborhood with Victorian townhouses for rent, while the Main Line - located in the suburbs - features upscale houses for rent. Meanwhile, Rittenhouse Square offers upscale high-rise condos and apartments and Victorian townhouses for rent, whereas Conshohocken has mid-rise and high-rise rental towers in contemporary and modern styles. Or, Brewerytown has new rowhouses and apartments, as opposed to Callowhill, which boasts high-rise apartments and renovated factory rentals. Of course, Center City dazzles with high-rise condos and apartments, and East Falls features rowhouses and single-family houses for rent along the Schuylkill River. Finally, East Passyunk Crossing and Passyunk Square delights renters with rowhouse rentals. Note that, when renting in Philadelphia, the landlord must ensure that the apartment can heat up to at least 68°F during winter months and that the toilets in the rentals are flushing.

Things for renting

Shopping in Philadelphia, PA

For a shopping experience unlike any other, Philadelphia renters go to the King of Prussia Mall, which has high-end stores like Balenciaga, Fendi and Gucci in the third-largest shopping mall in America. Otherwise, the Fashion District Philadelphia spans three city blocks and features a mix of retail, dining and entertainment options. Or, Old City is where renters find charming boutique and home design scenes, while Rittenhouse Row has more chic boutiques, national retailers, and a wide variety of dining choices, like Rogue and a.kitchen+bar. Similarly, Chestnut Hill's Germantown Avenue is lined with independent boutiques and hosts a modern farmers' market. And, traditionally known for textiles, Fabric Row in South Philadelphia is where renters will find boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. Some popular grocery stores when renting in Philadelphia include ACME, Wegmans, Giant and Sprouts Farmers' Market.

Transportation in Philadelphia, PA

When renting in Philadelphia, public transportation is planned by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). With more than 100 bus routes and regional rail services to neighboring counties, a car is not needed when renting in Philadelphia. That's because the three main train stations - Suburban Station, Jefferson Station and 30th Street Station - connect renters to regional rail and Amtrak trains. Alternatively, two subway lines - the Market-Frankford Line and the Broad Street Line - take renters to various attractions and sports complexes. The Broad Street Line is especially ideal for accessing South Philly's sports venues, Italian restaurants and cultural institutions near Temple University. Likewise, PATCO Speedline offers renters rapid transits to Camden County, NJ, with convenient connections to SEPTA routes, and Uber, Lyft and Indego bike rentals are available to renters by app. Finally, Philadelphia International Airport can handle most flights when renting in Philadelphia.
