Why Renters Love It Here
Happy To Be Here
Have been a Stella resident since February 2022. Surprised by the frequency of staff turnover, but have been told by family members who are knowledgeable about the housing industry that high staff turnover is common. The exception is Stella's director of operations and his team, most importantly the building superintendent. Most of the operations crew have been here since Day One, and they are WONDERFUL. Maintenance requests are acknowledged within minutes and handled within an hour or so, unless you've specified a later response. Also love The Stella's location because I can walk just about everywhere: Doctor, Dentist, grocery stores and other shops, restaurants, pharmacy, parks, library, Post Office, and the Metro-North Railroad Station. Plus it's fascinating to have a front seat to New Rochelle's ongoing downtown revitalization. Major changes for the better have taken place since I moved to Downtown New Ro in 2022, and I look forward to witnessing the improvements that will undoubtedly unfold over the next few years.
Noise
Noise from motorcycles and car exhausts are too loud. Police officers should be stationed on main street and north ave to issue summons for this loud noise. It shouldnt be allowed. This is the main reason why Im considering not re-signing my lease.
Building
This building has went down the drain from when i first mived in they have cut maintance and their is only 2 maintance guys where before there where 4 two for day and 2for night and the building was imaculant now its disgusting and the resiident events are nothing compared to what we used to have they use to have reatraunts come and cater to us with food and drinks now they buy food and they serve drinks definatley not worth the miney
Amenities and maintenance
I leaved 7 months in the building, I love the view of my apartment. The amenities are ok but can be maintained better. I have enquired 3 times for a building parking spot, but the real estate team has never replied to me.
Could be so nice but....
The management needs to start fining tenants that allow thier dogs to urinate right in front of all the entrances. I don't know how the coffee shop even puts up with the smell, there is no way any customers will ever sit down in front of the building let alone enter into the coffee shop unless they have to enter the building. The next major issue is parking. We literally have people parking thier cars inside the building that don't even live in the building. And then half the people can't seem to park thier car in between the lines, taking 2 spaces. It's ridiculous already. I'm happy to see that someone is finally raising the issue of enforcing the parking rules. Hopefully management sticks to the enforcement. It's a joke how tenants think they can let thier family members and friends that do not live in the building just come by and use the amenities, even the pool as if they're pating for it like a day pass. We really need better management and enforcement of the rules at Stella. I don't understand why Stella management decided to put the concierge phone number on the parking garage exit doors.. as if concierge is supposed to go upstairs and open doors for people who don't live inside the building. More than one occasion I've had people loitering around the parking garage waiting for me to get out my car so I can let them in.. the few times that my key fob didn't work I walked around to the front of the building , that what everyone should do. It isn't safe to have concierge leave the desk to open a LOCKED for a reason door to a potential stranger in a dark lonely parking lot at 2 am. Meanwhile paying tenants are waiting at the desk to collect packages. The management at Stella is a joke. Thier priorities are way off the mark. I will gladly explain more if needed. Just contact me. Thank you.
