I have been at the Vue for almost a year and have loved living here. The staff are amazing and are responsive to any issues that pop up. The location is great--across the street from the Walker and great restuarants on Hennepin.

We have lived at different Weidners Management for YEARS. We never expected this experience from them. Through the couple of years we lived here. The turnover of staff was crazy. When we moved in the manager was knowledgeable, nice, and quite acomodating. As one would expect when looking for an apartment. Through these couple of years there was 3 different managers with gaps in between where there would be nobody to answer an email or anything. My partners triathlon bike was stolen out of the garage. Other neighbors had either their cars broken into or other bicycles stolen, new manager didnt respond with any help to them. there was countless security incidents since there is no security on site escorted a Homeless guy that was roaming through the building. Most neighbors are nice. We had cigarettes thrown into our balcony, partially burning our chairs. New management is quite inexperienced over all. We got the locks replaced in our apartments from phobs to keys, we only had one key given to us, we went on and made our own copies since there was no follow up. I submitted maintenance requests that I ended up fixing myself since there was no maintenance response. I spent hours cleaning the apartment left it cleaner than when we moved in. We weren't provided any move out standards. And still got a cleaning fee. No windows open. There's is one little window that opens in the whole unit. Airflow is non existent. As soon as you get out of the elevator there's always a garbage smell that rises through the chute into the hallways. But they have a plug in... that will make it better right? Getting out of the garage is a gamble since people drive fast through the street and you cannot see from either side while getting out. There's really no amenities if thats important. There's a terrace and a basic gym. The intercom for the front door was also broken for half the time.

The vue is an amazing place to live. It was everything I needed. The staff is the absolute best. Jackson, Suzan, and the entire team are so easy to work with and a joy to see around the building. In all my time here I have had nothing to complain about. Jackson works hard to ensure the buiding is being updated as necessary and addressing any issues just as quickly as they may appear. The amenities were exactly what I needed. The undergound heated gagrage with assigned spot was more than I could have hoped for. The gym and sauna space I use several times a week. The printers in the lobby are so nice to have and I'd be lying if I said I didn't drink a million free lattes from the machine out there. Overall I would highly recommend the Vue to anyone looking to live in the downtown / Loring park area. It's quiet and out of the way, but still right next to everything you need, especially freeway and major intersection access making it easy to get around the city and back. Oh and they're incredibly pet friendly! I had two dogs with me and everyone in the building is very welcoming to pets. Shane

I've lived at the VUE Apartments for the past six years, first in a two bedroom and then a one bedroom. As you can imagine, a lot life transpires over six years. When my Bernese mountain dog passed, the staff helped my carry her to the car for the ride to the vet. When we laid her into the car, everyone was crying. That's the kind of heartfelt attention I've received here from day one. When it was time to find a smaller unit, they made the move and process simple and very cost effective. And now that I'm getting another large Berner, the need for a different type of apartment than what the VUE could offer. Jackson and Susan, the property managers, made this process problem-free and economical. I cou;dn't have asked for better, more caring staff in this process. I will truly miss them and the friendly community of residents here.

It has been a month since I moved into this apartment building, and I already love staying here. Enjoy the views from the apartment and its easy accessibility to public transportation, like the different social events that keep happening now and then to build a rapport among the residents. Overall it is very peaceful here. Highly recommend.

Like many other long-term residents, I recently moved out of the Vue because of ongoing maintenance, management, and security issues. The Vue is 10 years old and it shows. Unit interiors are dark and dated. Appliances in most units are a decade old. The common areas aren't any better. The gym is barebones - think 1 elliptical, 1 bike, 2 treadmills, and some weights. The rooftop is small with grills that need to be replaced and a broken fire pit. The parking lot is filthy and next to dumpsters that overflow. The carpet throughout the building is stained and the trash chutes in the hallways make every floor smell, especially by the elevator banks. The neighborhood has gone downhill - period. Despite this, management has not meaningfully invested in security. Packages are stolen because there is no package room and management allows deliveries to accumulate in the lobby. Bikes are stolen from the garage and cars are broken into. "Piggy-backing" occurs at the front entrance. Simple maintenance requests take 1-2+ weeks to fulfill. Getting action from the after-hours maintenance emergency staff usually required multiple follow up calls over hours to the call center. Last winter, a significant portion of the building experienced issues with hot water; this summer residents are going without AC. Residents are denied compensation in the form of rent or parking credits for these ongoing disruptions. Building management is inexperienced and understaffed, with only one Community Director serving 100+ units. Calls to the front desk go to voicemail, sometimes immediately. Despite these deficiencies in value, safety, and community, the Vue bills itself as luxury living and consistently hikes rent by hundreds of dollars per month when residents renew leases. For what the Vue charges, your money can go much further in a newer, nicer building that prioritizes residents' comfort and takes safety seriously.
