It’s ranked the 3rd best place to live in Galveston County, and is the 51st best suburb for young professionals in Texas.

In the last 2 decades, the city’s population has more than doubled to 98,215, and has expanded to cover an area of 53 sq. miles. As a result, the city dwarfs several of its neighbors, for example, it’s almost 10 times larger than Webster, and 5 times larger than Dickinson. Tips for renting in League City, TX

Whether you’re planning to move to League City in order to work nearby, or just want to get out of the big city, there are plenty of reasons to consider it. The major draws are excellent schools, low crime rates, low unemployment, proximity to business hubs, and a great location. However, due to rapid growth, many residents will say it lacks the history and charm of older towns, so if that’s what you’re after, it might not be the best choice.

Having said that, there are some spectacular houses and apartment complexes dotted throughout the town. Some stand out neighborhoods include Tuscan Lakes, Victory Lakes, and Mar Bella, though wherever you choose you’re likely to be close to all the amenities you need. A private vehicle is useful, and almost essential if you plan to work outside of town, though a growing network of city trails mean that cycling is a viable option within the city.

Living in League City, TX

Situated halfway between Houston and Galveston, League City has a great location and is close both to the big city, and the beach. In addition, parts of the city are on the waterfront of Clear Lake, while the northern section borders clear creek, ensuring there’s plenty of green space to enjoy. The city has very low crime rates and a number of good schools, making it a great suburb for families. However, proximity to numerous business centers also attracts a lot of young professionals to the city, leading to a diverse population.

There are downsides however, and poor public transit options make it difficult for those who don’t own a private vehicle to get around. Even with a private vehicle, some roads are in a poor state of disrepair, and many highways are currently under construction. This can cause congestion and delays at busier periods of the day.
