Building is a little old, mail system is atrocious, management seems to lack some intelligence but generally speaking it's decent value.

Whitney Uptown has great potential through its location and floor plan set up but years of limited maintenance has led the property into disarray. Consistently broken elevators are a health code and lease agreement violation, consistent flooding in the parking and leaking pipes create an uninviting environment in the parking garage. Broken lights throughout the parking and internal stairwells are a safety hazard. Management has promised improvements but not delivered.

For the location, price, and views it is absolutely a hidden a gem! The problem is the building is very old and management thus far has been very neglectful. Avoiding fixing the problem with elevators, HVAC and plumbing. In my time living here, we have since gotten new management and they seem to actually care about addressing the root cause of the issue, and not just bandaiding. Hopefully that stays true. Overall a pretty okay place to live in an amazing location!
