My entire family has rented from Richard over the years and we have never had one problem. He is always really helpful and quick to respond. Recently my brother decided to rent a unit somewhere else in the area b/c it was a bit cheaper and it has been a complete nightmare. ... Read more

This guy is a complete jerk. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. Please listen to me and do not and I mean do not get a storage unit through him. I know so many people that have had bad experiences with him. I called just to see what his hours were and he hung the phone up on me and then blocked me. He is completely rude in every way possible, unprofessional, has no manners, fails at customer service. He is not to be trusted at all. UPDATE: If you look at the response from this man, he is completely lying. To make up such a story shows his ignorance. I will tell you how it really went and what really happened... I called him and said "IF I have a storage unit there can you please tell me what your hours are?" He immediately started yelling very loud and aggressively at me and said " If you have a storage unit here, you should know that so no, i'm not going to tell you." I then replied... " No, sir, that is not what I said, I said IF I do have a storage unit there. Can you please tell me your hours of operation?" He then hung the phone up on me and block me. This is not a way to get new customers. This man acts as if he's on something. He definitely has anger issues and it needs to be taken care of. Not once did I ask for a storage unit number or The gate code. Why on earth would I need that? I only asked the hours of operation. These lies just show his lack of integrity. Very immature and unprofessional. Once again, please please do not rent any storage units with this jerk, who treats everyone with disrespect. ... Read more

Been a customer for about 5 years. Have had several units, but down to only one now. The Owner/Caretaker is a nice guy and very conscientious. He is there most of the time. I've left my storeroom open once and he called to let me know. He said he would lock it up for me, and did. What a great guy! LOL! Heck, one time I did not properly lock the sliding door and he called me for that. Never a problem! ... Read more

Whatever you do, don't go to this little hole in the wall pathetic excuse for a storage facility. My ex-roommate's non-blood relative gave me very little time to move out of the house that I shared with him for 7 years. He was nice enough to put my things in storage at Wee Willies but unfortunately he put the contract in his name and not mine, making my belongings lawfully his belongings. I'm terminally ill and allowed him to do this for me as I was quite ill the day he moved my things for me. Unfortunately for me, this non-blood relative made some derogatory remarks about me to Richard, the manager at Wee Willies. I thought my belongings were at Uncle Bobs Storage because the guy that moved my things is retarded and told me they were at Uncle Bobs. Finally I get a message from Richard and call him. He immediately screamed and yelled at me, said I owed him money, had to put the contract in my name and accused me of blocking his number and being on his property several times. None of which was true. Then he hung up on me. When I showed up to pay him and tranfer the contract in to my name he was brash and rude and threw me off of the property. I called 911 and the Richardson Police were so kind and helpful. They told me they were suspicious that Robert had already emptied out my storage unit. They encouaged me to file a civil lawsuit. Because my ex-roommate is 94 and has been my best friend for many years now and is in a nursing home now I decided to let this go to keep from upsetting him. I've lost all of my sentimental and valuable possessions...my kids things from when they were very little, everything I had of value. I blame Robert and the non-blood relative for this horrid mess. Sorry, but Robert, in my opinion, is a mean, unkind, unprofessional, unreasonable and possibly a very greedy businessman. Do yourself a favor and use a reputable company like Public Storage or Uncle Bob's Storage where you know you will be treated fairly and with respect when you walk through the door to do business with them. 7-18-2018 In response to the denial of my claim by Richard, not Robert, the man who denied allowing me to pay the storage due and transfer the unit in to my name, this is not true and I have a police report to prove it. It's all easy to say NOW that none of what I said is not true, but the fact is, it is completely true and the Richardson police, after speaking with you after you threw me off of your property, (and I called 911) told me they were on my side and did not believe that any of my belongings were still in that unit. You made arrangements to allow me to transfer my things in to my name and then threw me off of the property after screaming at me inside the office. That is the truth, so live with it. We are all accountable for our actions in this life, both good and bad, so own up to what you did to me. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Wee Willie Warehouses - 510 North Bowser Road include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
