Worthless! I need a REAL person to which I can TALK TO regarding the unit I am renting. PLUS I had paid for a storage unit and moving company told me it was too small. So I had to get the larger unit and was told I would NOT be reimbursed for the unit I previously rented. So they gladly took payment for the larger unit and kept the money for the smaller unit. NOTE TO PEOPLE NEEDING A STORAGE UNIT - find someone other than Public Storage! Im not finished with them yet as they will hear from my attorney. They pocketed money from me AND THERE IS NO REFUND FOR A STORAGE I DID NOT USE????? ... Read more

The customer service at this location is beyond unacceptable. They misspelled my email, preventing me from making online payments. Since I don’t have time to go in person during business hours, I’ve now been hit with a late fee — through no fault of my own. I was promised a call back from the site manager twice, and I’m still waiting. What’s even worse is that I’ve spoken to at least four different service reps to correct my email, and each time they either leave me on hold for several minutes or simply hang up on me. This is completely unprofessional. To the manager at this location: Do your job! Follow up with your customers and address these issues. And while you’re at it, take care of the rat infestation problem — it’s unacceptable that customers have to deal with that as well. ... Read more

Would not recommend Public Storage at all. I reserved a spot online and was forced to pick a date prior to the day I would arrive in Texas. I didn’t think anything of it. When I arrived to location half of the doors to the facility were either propped open or didn’t lock. Then there was a person half dressed in the hallway bathing themselves. I contacted the support line and told them of the poorly managed facilities and asked them if I could cancel since I haven’t taken possession of the unit. I was told no. I then asked if I could at least transfer so that I didn’t have to move around someone bathing in the hallway. The customer service person on the phone woke up and chose to be an unhappy crabby patty; they didn’t care to listen about the situation. They decided weren’t going to be helpful and had an elite attitude and very little effort. They sent me a new contract but the unit wasn’t the same price or level (2nd floor vs 1st) I originally had. When I went back to visit the new spot, there were couches and furniture blocking doorways and again main doors weren’t locking as promised. I called customer service again to explain there were safety concerns and that this location isn’t managed well and that I would really like to cancel. Keep in mind I never took possession of any unit. They TOLD me my contract was cancelled. After a couple weeks of emailing and calling I did receive a refund. Since then I have been harassed weekly regarding my account being late. I can’t get anyone to answer the phone, the automated phone line is a joke and only wants money, and the property manager only sends emails never responds to them. I am all for innovation but public storage is doing it wrong. Stay away. 100% headaches - 0% customer service. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 500 East Arapaho Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 396 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 500 East Arapaho Road start from $24 and can go up to $337 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
