Read some helpful reviews of Wasco Mini Storage at 451 F Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Very clean facility and the staff is friendly. Only issue I have is is the accessibility for the price I pay. We had been told several times throughout the years that the owners were going to upgrade to after hour keypad access, then told oh they decided not too. At one time we were able to pay online instead of calling or coming in person, they took that ability away. I understand you have to increase prices periodically, but it seems like we're paying more for less. ... Read more

It's a very good place but it only gets 4 stars because if it had 24 hour access to ones storage unit it would easily deserve 5 stars so the only inconvenience is that it needs to be like bakersfield and have pin entery after hours ... Read more

When we first got a unit here it was great, but when they changed ownership in July everything changed. Suddenly the hours changed. Not open Sundays or Mondays, but open until 7pm, then open from 9-5 Tues-Sat, then till 5:30, then from 8-5:30 and now open Sundays? But none of these have ever been right. If you show up when they say they are open you'll often find a note saying they are closed, or there's no one there (even if the gate is open). Management doesn't answer or return phone messages. The prices went up, but access to your unit basically disappeared. Right now their sign says open 8am-5:30pm Tues-Sat AND 9am-5pm Sun, but voicemail says open 8am-7pm Tues-Sat and my husband has been waiting at the office since 3:30pm (it's 5:10pm and the office is locked.) He's knocked, rang doorbells, searched the premises, and called but no one is there. I've attached the photo of the newest sign (it was different yesterday when we went by to check hours). Don't rent a unit here. It's a scam. They make it virtually impossible to get your things or to even close your account. Don't do it. ... Read more

Clean and affordable. Worst front office/management. The hours of operation change every month Without Notice. Closed on sundays and Monday’s. Half the time, no one is in the front office. No key pad entry. So management opens and closes the gates whenever they want. I have cleaned my unit out and can not close my account because no one is here and they don’t answer the phone. Basically, if you want to put your stuff in storage and never be able to get to it again, this is and affordable place to do that. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Wasco Mini Storage - 451 F Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
