PHIL IS THE GO TO! I have been keeping some stuff at prime storage for about a year now and Phil has always been a great help and super friendly. One thing I always appreciate is that he always walks around the lot to make sure everything is good and we’ll let you know if he ever sees something going on with your storage! ... Read more

The staff are friendly, professional, and really take the time to help with questions or unit needs. This place is run by SpareFoot or some similarly named operation. This is the second horrible facility they have hooked me up with. Had I known this when I set up my reservation, I would have stopped right then & there. The facility offered an excellent deal, far better than anyone else in the area. Maybe that should have been a clue right there. You don't get something for nothing. When I made the reservation, I set it up to come in last Saturday afternoon. I spoke with a really nice-seeming guy named Phil. We had a lovely conversation & I was so happy. Moving is horrible & having something go right was amazing. However, as things do with moving, I couldn't get there in time. I called to let Phil know, but some gatekeeper person answered & by the time I went through all the nonsense you have to go through to reach the person you really want, the place has closed. They have your record & info attached to your phone number, so they already know everything about you, but they act like they are a bank & must keep everyone away. In this case, they make it almost impossible to reach the manager of the faculty you are trying to work with. I left a message apologizing for not getting there on time & asked if Monday morning would work. I needed the unit this week. No one ever called back. I called them again on Monday, but they would not put me through to the manager, & said they would send him a message. Tuesday rolls around & I want to get this unit or give up & find a place where I can reach the manager when I need to, not when the gatekeepers let me. I once again said I needed to speak directly to the manger about coming out today to sign the contract. Once again, they couldn't put me through. I was beginning to realize something is very off here. If this is how they treat someone who is trying to bring them money, a prospective client who has already filled out all the info they wanted, how will they treat you when you become a client? I was finally, after an hour, able to talk to Phil. I told him how frustrated I was getting & that the only reason I had not yet cancelled is because of our conversation on Saturday. I learned from him that he had not received ANY of the messages I had left. I said I would not be able to do business under these conditions & was ready to cancel. He then gave me a supposed direct number. I told him I would leave shortly & come in to sign the contract. So I thought everything was fine. Less than five minutes later, the phone rang but I couldn't get to it in time. It was Phil with a message I could not understand. I spent most of the next fifteen minutes trying to reach him on this special direct #. Since I kept getting gatekeepers, & three of the times I called, they hung up on my while I was in the hold line, I was delayed leaving. I came out here & could not find the place. I could not talk to the manager still so I never got decent directions. By the time I found it on my own, it was 6:02 pm, two minutes after closing. I pounded on the door, thinking Phil would be waiting for me. I explained all that had happened in the past 45 minutes, & begged him to let me see the unit & sign the contract. He did not exhibit one bit of sympathy or customer support. He had been a nice guy on the phone, but in person, he kept complaining about all his work & so many customers came in & was pretty disturbed at my presence. That was the last & final straw. I thought that the last time I dealt with SpareFoot (see my review of AllSpace Storage) was the worst storage experience I had had in 40 years of renting space, but this surpassed it. I have never dealt with this type of customer service & was not going to put up with this garbage treatment, even for a great rate. It was clear to me that the gatekeepers didn't give a damn about my problems, & then when the manager acted that way when it was his call to me that delayed me, & his company's policies that meant he could not help me when I was only a few minutes late, I realized what a lousy operation this was! BEWARE! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage (CA09) - 2430 South Santa Fe Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Prime Storage (CA09) - 2430 South Santa Fe Avenue start from $86 and can go up to $558 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
