I have been an indoor RV tenant for over 3 years. It had been a great experience the entire time. I love the fact that it is a concierge service facility. Patty and her crew store and stage in for pickup and drop off. I believe this eliminates "hangar rash" that I have seen where the tenants park and pick up their rigs. Just last week, a friend of mine, who stores at another facility, had another RV back into the his RV and knock it off the tongue jack with a side impact, causing a bent axle. I would rather have professionals move my RV, and not trust just anyone maneuvering to get in their spot, that like most RV storages are tightly packed. Patty and her crew have always been friendly and professional. There aren't any rats or mice as one review stated. Never had an issue. I haven't seen a better place, and I have seen plenty. ... I've had my motor home and trailer at California classic for 12 years and the place is clean, secure, well maintained and staff has been helpful but lately they have become difficult to deal with. They require 2 days notice to get the R.V. out, (I called Friday morning and was refused for Saturday afternoon pick up), they will no longer allow a battery tender and I'm not allowed to clean the inside of the motor home on the property. It saddens me to be looking for an alternative. ... Read more

Great service right from the first inquiry. Patty was on point with all details and requirements. I got a personal tour to see and understand how the facility operate. Based on my previous experience with storage, this place is awesome. Your vehicle is ready for you as long as you call in advance. You simply hook up and take off. When you return, you unhook, chock your wheels, and leave your vehicle in good hands. No hassle with trying to safely back your vehicle between other customer's bad, space limiting parking. Courtesy calls to ensure your pick up date. Security gates are a plus. I highly recommend this plac . ... Read more

For RV storage it’s very pricey, but from what I read and from what I observed, it is an unusually high level of service. And they appear to have many satisfied customers. For self storage space it is quite reasonably priced, but CAUTION...be ready for: Inconvenience - the self storage rentals are all inside units and to get to your space you drive inside the building, via a single one-lane, one way ‘driveway’, which makes a big loop into and back out of the building (rather like a conveyor belt...one at a time, no getting around the car in front of you). Then when you are at, or near, your space, you stop IN THE DRIVEWAY, and you become an immediate road block for anyone else arriving to get to their space. As you load, unload, or whatever your business, you have to listen for cars that stop behind yours. This will be someone who wants by you to either get to their own space, or to leave the property after they did what they came to do. You cannot just wave them around you because unless you are both in Smart cars, or on motorcycles, they won’t fit! You can tell them that you were here first and that they will have to wait, or you can do the neighborly thing and stop what you are doing, get in your car and drive all the way around the loop to return to where you were. That lets them by. As you circle you are aware that there are hundreds of other tenants in the building and that chances are good that one it two of them will be there in front of you. Now YOU are the one needing by and THEY are the ones who have to stop what they are doing to get into their vehicles and join the fun. in busy weekends there can be a lineup of cars going around the loop, all to let each other by. It’s a regular PITA. And if you are by yourself, you generally leave all your belongings unsecured while you are doing this ridiculous dance. Patti says it’s better if you park outside the building answer that you can park outside the building, but there are only a few parking spaces for customers and apparently no loaner carts available. Lights - they are on a very short timer and go off after ten minutes. After that you must provide your own light. Friendly staff - The staff is very nice....until they aren’t. And it can change in a blink. I rented for nearly two years, was totally current on rent, never had issues with staff or customers, always was courteous to let other renters by on the loop, then one day in the middle of the paid month, Patty sends an eviction via email. Two days to clear out or she would throw my things in the dumpster. No reason except some generalities that (a) were not correct and (b) even if true were not violations of the agreement, nor justification for removal. When I tried to get some clarity she seemed to rage, glaring at me all she could manage was to growl “you’re evicted” like some bad haunted house actor trying to sound menacing. Her staff cowered at desks and pretended to ignore. Strange. So I left. Rented a place on Market St, for twice the rate, and consider it a bargain. Would not recommend this place to anyone I cared about. If you rent self storage space here, try to visit your space midday in midweek, have have an exit plan, and don’t get too comfortable. ... When we moved to Ventura about a year ago, we no longer had space to park our RV. We discovered California Classic Storage online, and chose them because we wanted an indoor area. We have been more than pleased with CCS. When we call to say we want to take the RV out, it's waiting for us when we go to pick it up with the propane and refrigerator turned on. And when we return, they put it away for us. Although we've not yet needed it, there is a dump right there that's extremely convenient, And the many times I've stopped by to put something in or take something out of our RV, they're always so accommodating! We so appreciate a place that fits all our needs and is very safe and secure at the same time. We highly recommend California Classic Storage! and the very friendly staff. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at California Classic Storage - 11299 Nardo Street include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 35 to 540 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by California Classic Storage - 11299 Nardo Street start from $115 and can go up to $525 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
