This Public Storage location is absolutely amazing! The facility is clean, well-organized, and the overall experience has been great. I especially want to highlight William, he is truly incredible. He has been so helpful, kind, and accommodating, especially as a first-time renter. He is proactive, hands-on, and genuinely goes above and beyond for customers. Such a wonderful person and a huge asset to Public Storage! ... Read more

An unbelievably rude female employee from the front desk will be happy to verbally berate you if you dare make her open a gate for you if it’s too close to closing time for her liking. (It was 10 minutes before their listed closing time on google, GIVE me a break.) I live an extremely short drive away but will be finding other options no matter how less convenient and cancelling as soon I possibly can. Their pricing model is simply a scam and their staff is genuinely as bad as it gets. -100/100 ... Read more

I've booked storage units with Public Storage before; however, this was one of the best and seamless experiences I've had thus far. Kevin, the attendant that assisted me provided exceptional level of customer service, from honoring my request to tour a unit last minute, to recommending a better unit that fit my storage needs. I highly encourage folks to go in-person and experience the exceptional staff who made this experience seamless and stress free. Very happy with the customer service! ... Read more

I have never used public storage before and wasn't sure what size I needed to rent. William was beyond kind and helpful. He was able to consult with me to really figure out what size unit would be best financially and overall and I am so pleased with his customer service and expertise! As I was walking around more than 3 people came into the parking lot and every single one of them knew William by first name and so did he. It made me feel comfortable and confident that my belongings and safety were good at this location. I am so glad he showed me a smaller unit because it saved me a ton of extra money. Thank you William for being so knowledgable and supportive! Highly recommend coming here, prices were great! ... Read more

For it being on a Sunday, For it being after hours, and for it taking almost two hours long.....4 stars because Elizabeth a friend got locked inside the lot!She was eventually let out by a young Lady thru the phone! Thank God. We were both very grateful! She had just that afternoon picked up her brand new car and the dealers didn't even set the right time on it which started all of this hullabaloo! Thank you so much P.S. for helping out! ... Read more

Kevin and William are my knights in shining armor. They have always gone out of their way to provide an enjoyable experience for both my partner and me. They’re patient, accommodating, and add an extra sparkle to the day that you never know you needed. Above all, they are really good humans! I was delighted to know them in the months that I did. Thank you, both!! ... Read more

When I first came here the property manager caught me alone in the elevator on the way down from my unit, and he asked me if I had a girlfriend. When I replied no he told me that he was going to be my girlfriend and then he laughed but I didn't find it the least bit funny. When I asked him what his name was he told me to call him Queen which I found disturbing to say the least. And then following that in the days to come he continually came to my unit every time I try to get access to it tell me that he was seeing what I was doing, tell me that I'm living out of my unit. He accused me of several things that I am not guilty of he has zero evidence for. He defamed my character something terrible. I told him that I do business out of my storage and I have a coffee business. Still he accuse me of keeping food and clothes in there because I had a collector's item Hustler limited edition windbreaker hanging up. He continually told me on several different occasions that hes going to kick me out of the storage for no particular reason and that because I wasn't his friend he didn't care about me. Then it rained like crazy and the whole upstairs facility had over half a dozen puddles everywhere one of which I didn't see and had a slip and fall with a handful of materials for my business. I went to the hospital with pain in my wrist that persists to this day. The management did nothing. The roof hasn't been repaired at all and I was never contacted about my injuries. The roof still leaks to this day with all kinds of rotted wood which I have documented. On the roof and the floor from standing water. Then they change the hours and lied about it on their website and when I documented it I left the bad review on there Google reviews the district manager contacted me and told me that the property manager called me a liar and claimed he never said those things in the elevator to me when he in fact did. And I will swear on the Bible and to God that I am telling the truth and he's lying. that doesn't matter to the district manager because they took sides with the property manager and forcibly kicks me out of the storage facility after all the reckless and negligent behavior that they've committed that already put me almost out of business. This is an atrocity and I'm going to take it all the way to jury trial and publicly document everything as a lesson for my entrepreneur club. And also an effort to close the doors of public storage once and for all. Not only is the same property manager who did those horrible things to me still employed he's now in power to do this and lie about it and get away with it. And people like me have to take the loss. Public storage is an atrocity and their district manager Tim is not only rude, he talks to me as if he's in high school and I'm one of his buddies which I would never be. He takes zero responsibility for anything the people working beneath him did. What a shame. What an atrocity. Public storage is absolutely horrifying. Furthermore, the property manager demanded that I leave a five-star review, and worried about losing my business I did so only to be stabbed in the back again by the same disgusting property manager, and I don't even know why I referred to him as that because he can't manage a damn thing besides violating customers rights to a safe enviornment. That's how you know all these reviews are demanded and fake because they call out these clowns by name. The same clowns that demanded that I call them out by name on the review which I erased. I am no longer going to be a victim of public storage illegal activities and reckless endangerment from the management. If I could leave zero Stars I would have. Public storage employee envy entrepreneurs because they're nothing but slaves to corruption in evil illegal business practices. The average person needs to learn how to stand up for themselves to put a stop to this diabolical behavior. ... Read more

Hi, I just want to say thank you for all the great work you and your staff do there. Friendly, helpful and intelligent from the crew to the detail in which the venue is run. Nice and clean facility, even considering the location. Their customer service is really good, although they don’t seem to have an onsite team…(I didn’t see anyone around 9:30-10 am on a weekday.) The one negative comment, the locks that they have on some of their units are very tricky. And you really have to triple check that you are locking the door. (But I imagine that they add a bit more security.) Otherwise, it’s a very user friendly facility. ... Read more

Kevin is masterful at this job. He knew everything about the facility, contract, and rates and provided excellent customer service in the process. He showed me several units before I was able to discern which size I needed. Having been in this neighborhood for 21+ years and never having done business with Public Storage, Kevin has made this part of my moving and transition as smooth and calm as possible. If you rent a unit from Public Storage in Venice, ask for Kevin and try to get in when he here. Thanks Kevin! Solid rep and super stoked by the service. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 315 South 4th Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
