I have been with Sav-On Storage for over 10 yrs. Recently, they accused me of being delinquent in payments for the past 3 months. I have been a faithful customer and always paid before the due date. Due to their inefficient bookkeeping, I had to jump through hoops to prove that my payments were sent. I didn't appreciate them causing me to do the "footwork" of proving I had made payments. ... 0 stars actually, This place is a very shady, the manager is a very dishonest person. I payed for a space there and my trailer was stolen right in front of him. They had cameras but they are fake. I spoke with him about the issue and he continued to tell me why it wasn't his fault. I asked for the owners information but he just said no. As if he was afraid of something. This person is the most uncooperative, dishonest and worst management I've ever seen. Have the time the gates are locked during business hours. So if you value your stuff that you worked hard for I wouldn't keep it there or you will be sorry. Trust me!!!! ... Read more

I have been using Sav-On Storage facility for about 2 or 3 years now. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel like family. They have excellent customer service and Betty is always willing to resolve any issues quickly to better suit your needs. They have the best prices in town and multiple sized units I think we have moved around to every size they have. They even have units that have a front door and double rear doors. ... Read more

I just bought a new trailer. I called around and had some trouble finding a spot to store it. Everyone was full except one. Sav-on storage. Unlike their name they are the most expensive in the area. It is a gravel lot on a side road between Fairfield and Vacaville. The lady who I spoke to on the phone was very nice and said she would write my name down to come in the next few days. That's where the "good" experience ended. I was treated when I came in the door by an angry heavyset girl who asked if I was there to pay. Not hello, not good morning. No greeting. Are you here to pay. When I explained that I was there to rent a spot she had a complete meltdown. She was angry, she cursed her mother for doing this on her day. Then she told me if I came back after lunch she'd be nicer because she was starving. The place reeked of pot as well, so I am sure I know why she was starving. All of this and I was fighting the urge to flee because of the need to store this trailer. Then she asks for my registration. Well when you buy a new trailer you don't get a registration. You get a temp tag. She would hear none of it. I would never recommend anyone coming to a business like this. I guess I know now why they have vacant spaces. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Sav on Storage - 4987 Vanden Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 12 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Sav on Storage - 4987 Vanden Road start from $59 and can go up to $799 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
