Read some helpful reviews of Peabody Self Storage at 201 Peabody Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The lady in the front desk was really rude… It almost seem that she had a problem with us speaking Spanish. And when it was time to make the contract she ask if it was going to be in my wife’s name and she ask dose she speaks ingles? Very unprofessional the way that question was asked. To later tell me that the reason was just in case she had to talk to her because they don’t have any translators. And told us to go elsewhere ware that spoke Spanish ... Read more

Some of the staff people who answers the phone at 4:53pm, whom are not polite, say they cannot take payments over the phone because the computers shut down at 4:30pm. Perhaps try changing the hours in Google say your business closes at 4:30pm rather than 5:00pm could be helpful for busy people or have the option to pay online. ... Read more

My best friend had a huge snafu when trying to rent a truck from U-Haul...three different instances of errors. But, the young woman at Peabody self-storage not only identified the problem, but she created a viable solution and even made accommodations for my friend and took the extra effort to reduce his cost and extend his mileage for the trouble, as she put it, "we" have caused. She took ownership of a problem she had no part in creating and provided a solution. It's rare that i give U-Haul 5 stars. My main regret - I failed to write her name down. To the young woman who saved the day and set minds at ease: thank you for understanding Customer Service, and thank you for your patience and dilligence. U-Haul, seriously consider letting this fine person educate your staff on what excellent service ACTUALLY is. ... Read more

If you're not looking for it, you might miss this place. You will regret passing by and heading to another Uhaul center. If memory serves, Eddie, is one of the two office members who take customer service seriously. They actually provide great customer service, and try to save you money. Eddie and his colleague have attended the school of customer service, where they learned that treating customers properly with high satisfaction will cause them to come back. They are kind, patient, understanding, experienced, intelligent, and even know their job. Although I make my reservations online, I always select this location. Give them a try and see the difference. ... Read more

I had an indoor 5x10. I appreciate how nice these ppl are and the prices are great... But I do not like roaches & silver fish getting into every box and inside my couch. I had so many bugs... I gave away all the furniture I had there because I refuse to take bugs into a new place. That's not cool. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Peabody Self Storage - 201 Peabody Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera and Gate. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
