I love this facility thank you for keeping my stuff safe for so many years. I used this facility during a very hard time in my life and I always felt at ease knowing my stuff was in a safe and clean facility. I can't thank you enough you gals go above and beyond, thank you so much for the friendly monthly reminders to pay before I get late fees. I definitely recommend this storage facility hands down. If I'm ever in need of storage I will be back ... Read more

I've tried a couple of other storage places over the years, and SoCal is far and away the best. Their rates are good, especially compared to a major, national chain that I have used before. (Maybe PS also stands for Pricey Spaces?) The facility is very clean and well-maintained. Their use of local street names for the corridors makes it easy to find your way around, unlike other storage places where everything blends together. Everyone I have spoken with at SoCal Self Storage has been exceptionally friendly and helpful; they treat you like they really value you as a customer. When I wanted to relocate to a different sized space, they made everything smooth and easy. I have been very, very pleased with this business. ... Read more

They are nice when move in and give discount on truck. Move out time ...the truck fee doubles. I needed a couple extra days after the new month, no way. They will not pro-rate the month. The answer is, "read your contract" So the last few days jumped from $5 per day to $30! Could have been $50 per day if I had been able to move when I wanted to. ... Read more

Torrance SoCal Self Storage, and especially manager Zoyla Estrada, were great to do business with - very professional, friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and easily accessible, with ample parking and hand-trucks. ... Read more

Storage is a necessary evil in today's world. One of the evils is that the staff isn't hired for customer support and service. Like many businesses, they're hired for sales; they'll gladly take your money and do no more. They hope you don't have any questions or need help with anything, because they're not there for that and will get nasty with you, if you insist. They'd rather do video games and other slack time interests than help you. The corporate management has very low standards for onsite personnel so they're OK with this attitude. Basically, you're lucky if you can track them down, anyway, so try not to go there. Just a frustrating waste of time. Last and most important, count on a rent-raise about every 6-9 months for no additional service or improvements. Do what is necessary, if you must, here and then vacate as soon as possible. The staff likes it that way! ... Read more

The sign on the wall of the storage facility says it best: "This is a nice place." The staff are friendly, and will do their best to help you move into a room that fits your needs best, and are truly focused more on customer service versus their bottom line. They helped me get a good rate for the room, and the move out was quick, painless, and friendly. Nothing but good things to say, here. If you have the opportunity, ask for Zoyla. ... Read more

Didn't use the storage, only rented a truck there, but the staff was amazing. They had the paperwork done and had me out of there in less than 5 minutes. They knew their stuff and handled everything professionally, and drop off was a breeze. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SoCal Self Storage - 2515 Maricopa Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 462 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SoCal Self Storage - 2515 Maricopa Street start from $89 and can go up to $612 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
