Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 875 East Arques Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Thank you, Nene! I’ve been a client of this Public Storage facility (875 E. Arques Ave.) for many years. That says something right away! They’re close by, they’ve had the storage I needed, the building is always clean, and staff members have been friendly and helpful. But 3 days ago, I wanted to add to the amount of storage I had while remaining in the same building. Using the website, I was pleased to find that the type of unit I needed was available at a price I could manage. Given that vacant units can be snapped up in a flash by other renters, I knew I needed to act quickly. So, late that evening, I created a reservation request (i.e., a “hold”). In principle, I could have completed my rental over the web, but because there were a few details important to me that website information didn’t resolve, I figured I’d have to meet with a facility manager in person. Wouldn’t you know, by 10 AM the next morning, I received a call from Nene, one of the facility managers, responding to my request. Over the phone, we quickly confirmed that we were on the same wavelength, and just like that, I had an appointment with Nene at 11 AM the same day! Nene showed me all the available storage units that met my requirements, and patiently discussed all of my concerns. I can be pretty picky, so I appreciated that Nene was not only friendly and helpful, but efficient and well informed. I was finished within a few minutes and walked out with my new rental completed and new keys in my hand—a happy camper. ... Read more

I want to thank Nene for the stellar service she has provided. This was the first time I needed a storage unit , so I did not know what to expect. Nene at the East Arques location was just what i needed to help me through the process. She took the time to explain all the ins and outs, and even showed us the unit. the facility is clean an conveniently located. Her positive attitude helped me through what was a difficult situation for me, By the time were were done (which was less than 30 mins) I felt so much better thanks to Nene 5 stars for Nene (and the location was nice too) :) ... I have had a storage space at the Arques Ave facility on and off for 20 years. When I started it was run by a private company and had not been acquired by Public Storage. Their prices and policies were fair and when I needed another space I went to the same facility. However, as soon as Public storage started managing the property it became a nightmare. Before we rented a 10' x 20' space for about $160/month. When I came back I only needed a 5x5' space and the price was $65/month. However within months of my renting PS jacked the rate up, and six months later, right before Christmas they jacked it up again. Then, when they jacked it up a third time I called and asked what was going on and the local person got my rate reduced back to the previous level (though not the original price). Then, six months later, right before Christmas PS jacked the rate up again. They always raise prices right before Christmas when people are busy to try to slip it by. Now I was paying $129 for a tiny 5x5 space where I had been spending $160 for a 10x20 space before. Of course it was before Christmas so I was too busy to move my stuff out, so I reprogrammed my bill payer service to the new amount. Unfortunately I entered the wrong number by $2. I then got nailed with a $20 late fee for a $2 shortfall. It of course was right before Christmas and I was working 100 hour weeks, so I didn't have time to deal with it. So PS tacked on another $20 late fee and started calling my daily on my cell phone to harass me to pay the $2 and the $40 in late fees. By the new year they tacked on another $20 late fee, and continued harassing me on the phone to pay the now $60 in late fees on a $2 shortfall. I finally had enough, hired two guys to help me empty the space and moved out forever. I will never rent from any PS again. ... Read more

with this public storage for one year. overall, it is fine, but the monthly rent climbs very fast, from 150 to 300. they have two big rolling shutter doors, which are good, but when they are closed, the other doors inside and outside are too narrow for big furniture to pass through. the staff are friendly and helpful ... When renting my unit I asked for a climate controlled unit. After I moved in I talked to office staff about the climate upstairs it was between 89- 90 degrees!!! That is not climate controlled. It's 'cooler outside. I was concerned about my property in my unit. The insurance that they make you buy doesn't cover your property your things would need to be itemized for insurance to cover your property. The temperature is not a insurance issue it is a advertising issue/ facility issue don't be fooled. So after a half month I have moved my property out but I'm paid up until July 31 and was not going to vacate my unit until then. But Public Storage on July 15 has taken it upon itself to vacate me without my permission so they can rent my unit and double dip. As you can see in the pictures the cooling system has not been keep up there are dirty filters and high temperature. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 875 East Arques Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 875 East Arques Avenue start from $86 and can go up to $708 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
