Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 80 South Spruce Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Update: they have given me credit for the double charges to my account. Ideally I would have wanted a refund, but at this point it works. Originally I gave them 2 stars, but I think 3 stars is better than 2. This is the worst experience I've had ever with any storage company. This is my first bad experience with public storage, and to be fair it's because this location has a kiosk and a management team that's not professional trained to handle certain tasks, like the kiosk representative that messed made a mess of my account, it's very clear that the kiosk reps arenot experienced enough to handle task like making a same day unit transfer without charging the client double. Issues: First unit I received smelled like urine, which shows that the property manager did not thoroughly check the unit before making it available. The back wooden walls smelled like urine, and that's is a big problem, property should be cleaned and inspected, and any smell that's not normal should be taken care of, in my opinion, and will help prevent mold as well. Second, they over charged my account taking out double what I paid, then when I want my refund they make me go through so many hoops, and finally they tell me the district manager is going to fix my account billing issue, btw that was a a couple days ago, and still no phone call or refund ?? Then when I need access to my unit, they deny me access because the payment issues in my account (created by the public storage kiosk rep, not me) are not resolved. 2 star for this horrible experience, because the staff has caused me all these extra issues I have to deal with besides 3 kids. My recommendation: Video record everything, or use perplexity ai to record your entire interaction, this way, it can create a transcription of the entire situation, which you can later use to organize, and you can use it search your contract for breach/violations, or anything else really, it's like having your own business lawyer, I have 3 kids so it helps stay organized as well. Make sure you save every document that they give you, so if they mess up your billing, like they did with me and charged you double, this protects you from any false accusations or things they might try to lie about. I would say try this place out, but make sure that if you have to transfer units, you remember what happened to me so you can prevent half my headaches. ... Read more

Crazy how e everything is automated now! Not even a person to contact in the office. It was a machine that called an operator and she helped me through a camera on the machine. It was an easy process, I've just never seen that at a PS. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 80 South Spruce Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 80 South Spruce Avenue start from $92 and can go up to $805 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
