YEDDA M. - 24 January 2026
I have been storing personal items here since 2018 whilst I was away for a (supposed) 4 year international work assignment. Fast forward to this year and I am packing and shipping the bulk of my possessions to Australia and downsizing to a smaller unit. The on-site manager, Carole, assisted me in getting the lock on my unit changed prior to my arrival - I had long since lost the key - which allowed me to quickly gain access and start the packing and sorting process. I was very happy to find that there was no damage to any of my items, even after nearly seven years of storage!! Carole continued to provide excellent advice and service during my time on the ground and helped me to move from an unnecessarily large (and expensive) unit into a much smaller (and less expensive) unit. I could have moved my remaining possessions to a more convenient site, but Carole's service and attention convinced me that staying with Public Storage was the right choice. ... Read more

I commend Carole, office & facility manager for Public Storage on Hopper Ave, for always providing professional, helpful, and excellent service. For many years, Carole consistently explains important information and answers questions with patience and respect. When I've called with a question she calls me back right away. Public Storage is fortunate that Carole is running the operation because she is dependable and capable and an excellent representative of Public Storage. ... Read more

Rented here since 2020 and Carole has been an absolute godsend! I appreciated her notifying when I forgot to lock my unit fully(oopsies lol) and how helpful she was telling me of unit openings when I was looking to downsize/find a more affordable option! I will miss her friendly call to remind me that I had to pay my late bill(s), never had such a nicer person keep me in check. ... Read more

Had our storage unit with them for many years but unfortunately had to leave our space. Cindy made the exit process very easy for me, the grounds are clean and secure with security cameras on site and a personal gate code to gain access. Offers storage units on floor level and a building with 2nd floor units, with a freight elevator and carts/dolly’s to use. ... Read more

BEWARE! THEFT AND LOSS OF VALUABLES! Last week, 1/29/25, I was horrified to discover that the storage unit I have continuously paid handsomely for had been burglarized and robbed! Boxes ripped and dumped! The entire unit turned upside down and ransacked! Everything that I was paying Public Storage to protect - ALL WERE STOLEN - even though there was still a lock on the door. The manager said only employees had access to the key but who knows. One google review says the manager lets people stay/live in their units. If true, that’s a definite liability. Still trying to get answers which is difficult, because the Public Storage ‘claims’ line does not answer. It just rings endlessly. Unfortunately I had not read the one star reviews before renting here. Absolutely devastating! :( DEFINITELY NOT SECURE! NOT RECOMMENDED! ... Read more

Nice facility but Beware they will raise your rates without permission and run your card on file for the new rate without permission. They will start at a certain rate and increase your monthly payment with our approval. Unfortunate and unprofessional. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 914 Hopper Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 914 Hopper Avenue start from $56 and can go up to $370 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
