Cindy was great. Everything was smooth and great deal. edit Feb 2025, 8 months later... I stand by my review of the two on-site staff I interacted with over the past 8 months. However, the management has raised the rent substantially - by 50%. First at the 6 month mark (which we dealt with) and now again at the 9 month mark. A 50% increase in that short of a time frame seems, well, unreasonable, though not "illegal". When I tried to discuss this with someone, I was referred to their corporate office where I was patronizingly informed that a) they can raise the rent whenever they want and b) theres "nothing they can do about the rent increase" which is patently false - it's not physics after all. So, this is how they treat customers who pay on time, aren't a problem, don't make a mess in the bathroom, nor hang around the space all day in lieu of a home: they jack up the rent. Nope, not illegal, but feels ... well, abusive and disrespectful and like some serious price gouging is going on. Might be better off in a mom-and-pop outfit instead: thats where I'm headed once my shoulder heals from surgery and I can get outta there to where I'm valued as a good customer vs an infinite piggy bank. Has anyone there followed up with me? Nope, case in point. ... Read more

Cindy helped me tremendously in figuring out the process of closing out one of my storages and the time frame to consolidate so I wasn't billed unnecessarily. She was very professional, had a good knowledge base, and was very pleasant to work with. The units are well secured, easily accessible for customers, impossible for those who are not supposed to be there. I felt very safe with storing my belongings there. Because of that I would definitely feel comfortable opening another unit there in the future, especially because Cindy made doing business with Public Storage on Santa Rosa Avenue a complete pleasure. Thank you, Cindy! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3491 Santa Rosa Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3491 Santa Rosa Avenue start from $73 and can go up to $204 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
