Using RV world storage was truly the best storage experience my husband and I have ever had. Jim made the process of signing up and payment so easy and stress-free, which we were so grateful for, because we literally booked a space with them about four hours before we were to arrive in Southern California. Their monthly price was half of all the other RV storage places I called. Throughout our four month stay with RV world storage, Jim was always so easy to get hold of and would get back to us right away. The kindest man we’ve ever met! The 24 hour access we had to our RV was so convenient. It’s in a nice area and always felt very safe. Truly don’t know what we would have done without RV World Storage as everywhere else we called was too pricey, too many restrictions and they were too hard to get a hold of. Thank you Jim and RV World Storage for providing my husband and I with an amazing storage experience. It’s not often that you find great customer service, and so we had to write this review. Thanks again! ... Read more

Under new management, but the property manager, Jim, is still there. Very helpful and are willing to work with you no matter the situation. No, there is no one living out of containers. I have been there for years, they do, however, work out of a couple containers which is perfectly legal. Those staying that there is illegal activity going on need to get facts before bad mouthing a place of business. ... Read more

Jim is on the property & pleasant to deal with... Jenny recommended an “annual contract” that you only pay for months used! And that provides lower storage fees... Storage spaces are off San Marcos through security gate. However, the office is in a trailer down Lee St behind the gas station ... ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at RV World Storage - 1101 West San Marcos Blvd include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Security Camera, Gate, Multi-Level Storage and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
