Teresa was wonderful through the whole process taking time to explain things and answer all my questions without rushing me or putting any pressure on me to up buy. Her smile was contagious and just made her professional demeanor that much more pleasant to work with. I felt like she was somebody I could trust which is important to me. A great advocate for SecureSpace wSelf Storage. ... Read more

Great customer service. I believe his name is Hanz, but he helped me get out of the storage. I misunderstood the rule at 7pm closing. I thought no entry after 7p only, I didn't know that it was also no exit allowed after 7p as well. I was freaking out and I finally found the number for customer service. Hanz was so helpful and stayed on the phone to help me. Thank you so much! So grateful! ... Read more

Victory if your going leave a message. Ask the customer to call about the situation not just band someone from storage unit. Unprofessional! It was second party stuff, I had no clue! That was just rude to leave a message in that tone! Units are over priced. Do your research. Does this property have rats, Yes they Do!! I've worked there. ... Read more

So far, so good! Space was clean. Access just as laid out in the instructions, since there was no manager on site (closed on Thursday.) But that was no problem, as everything went according to well-explained directions. Looking forward to meeting the management staff. Thanks for your help again, expediting my move-in. ?? ... I had such a great experience thanks to Teresa! She was absolutely terrific at her job—professional, welcoming, and incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in. She took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process stress-free. Teresa went above and beyond to make sure I had exactly what I needed, and her positive attitude really stood out. It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency with genuine kindness, but Teresa does it effortlessly. If every business had someone like her on their team, customer service would be on a whole new level. ... Read more

Rats everywhere. Don’t house your belongings here unless you want them chewed through. The staff is helpful until they’re not. We had a death in the family and they were initially human about it but then denied any sort of refund for another month even though we were out by the 1st. Oh and they couldn’t be bothered to just communicate that to me directly so I had to chase them for them to tell me to screw off. Not to mention I NEVER authorized them to perform recurring charges on my card. There are so many other storage places. Go with another. ... Read more

I have been storing my stuff here for going on four years now. But in that four years I've not gone there only one time. But I realized that I hade forgotten my entry pass code. I kinda expected that the manager may be unsympathetic to why I had forgotten the pass code but I was wrong. She helped with finding my pass code.,not just once, but twice in one day. Thank you so much for all of the help and keep up the great work. You've gotten my loyalty. I'll be referring this place to EVERY PERSON WHO NEEDS TO FIND A STORAGE . This is the kind of management that is needed for success. ... Read more

Alicia is exactly what you want in management. I reserved the wrong size space and she showed me all my options quickly and painlessly got me situated into a great space. The place is super clean and have not had a problem with spiders or rats. Definitely reccomend this place. ... Read more

This facility has a significant rat problem. I didn’t want to leave a negative review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. I rented a unit in January 2024, and for several months, everything was fine. However, in August 2024, I discovered rat feces on my belongings. I reported it, and while the office was apologetic, the issue continued. I set a trap, caught a rat, and cleaned the unit. Everything seemed fine until January 2025, when I found droppings again. I caught two rats within 24 hours and discovered damage to my property. At this point, I had no choice but to move out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 355 West Hedding Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
