Needed a storage space for my DJ equipment when I'm in the Bay Area working this year. Came across Brokaw storage online with a great introductory deal. I gave it a chance and signed an agreement then showed up a couple weeks later from out of state hoping this would be a good place. When I arrived Cat (maybe Kat) helped me get settled in and was very thorough and accommodating. She walked me through everything I needed to know and got me all setup with my storage unit. Couldn't be happier with the space and service. ... Read more

I used to rent at this location for 7 years until I no longer needed a storage unit after a big move. However, I needed some space for my business needs, and I recently rented two units from this location. Cat was a great help with getting me a space that suited exactly what I needed. She was considerate, worked quickly through the entire process that took less than 20 minutes, and walked me through all the paperwork, rules, and storage viewing. I highly recommend getting a storage unit here if you need a location that's safe with helpful staff. ... Read more

They stole all my valuables and the office people broke my lock and put one of theirs on it but when I came to the storage unit it was empty and all the boxes were gone and they responded that they were going to help me but they blamed me that it was my fault and I don't know what my fault is when the office people broke my lock and put one of their own locks on it but they stole all my things and they didn't give me a solution and that it wasn't their problem that I was racist and things that weren't even relevant ... Moreover, she helped me on selecting packaging tools such as packing paper. Thank you so much for the help and I really love this place! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Brokaw Self Storage - 445 East Brokaw Road include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 24 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
