Really the only good thing about this storage unit is its location if you're nearby. There's a laundry list of issues here. - There aren't enough rolling carts. You HAVE to bring your own. - The front gate is often stuck open, so the security is a mess. - The elevator closest to my unit has been broken for WEEKS. - They're jacking up my rent 33% after 3 months of joining. - There is never anyone in the front office who can help you. - The app to control the gates doesn't work well so it's more of a tease than anything else. - The hours are TERRIBLE. Why close so early and open so late if there is never anyone in the front office to begin with? Honestly this place is a joke. 2 stars instead of one because it fulfills its basic duty, but nothing else beyond. The price is insane compared to other places. If you have a car, go elsewhere. ... I came in for my mother, and I were greeted by Gisel, she was a sweet young lady and had a smile on her face. She made sure my mom had the best space and made her feel comfortable. The facilities are clean although it was very busy. Gisel handled the office and made sure we were taken care of as well. Thank you, Gisel! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 560 16th Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 560 16th Street start from $80 and can go up to $617 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
