Sheila was very helpful! She helped me with moving in and finding my storage unit. She was very tentative and caring, made sure my unit was clean before moving in and assured me there would be no problems! Big shout out to Sheila! ... Read more

Hi everyone, I am leaving 2 stars because the storage physically was nice. The place was easy to access. Although the customer service fell sharply short of what I was expecting. On the day of my vacate, I wanted assistance to ensure I was fully vacated. Yes, I could have attempted to open my contract etc. But I am the kind of person that would like my hand held. The office door was locked in the middle of the day, I circled the block for 30 minutes to find an employee. I made a phone call, there must not be a mobile work phone. I made a call to the central office. Very nice people! They scheduled my vacate. Then, they made a call for me that I missed and did not see the voice message. They finally vacated me , when I called again and waived my lock cutting fee. So why didn't they just do this for me the first time I spoke with the central office that passed this message along? So, there was no breach of contract by Public Storage. Although don't expect to go there and have genuine, reliable, customer service. They claim, that workers call out, etc. Maybe they can improve this process? ... Read more

Sheila went above and beyond helping me get into my unit multiple times! She is kind and positive and oh so helpful! She turned a bad experience with movers into a good experience at the storage unit and I am so so grateful! Moving is so stressful and it’s so nice when you come across people that are willing to help and show such great care! ... Read more

Shelia is an absolute gem! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our storage. Her customer service was top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. It’s rare to find someone who takes this much pride in their work, and she truly deserves recognition. If anyone at Public Storage is reading this, Shelia is the kind of employee who deserves a promotion or a well-earned raise! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Shelia! ... Two days in a row, we had issues with the storage locker, both days Sheila stayed late and went above and beyond for us to make sure we were taken care of. She has phenomenal customer service skills and deserves a raise. Please make sure she gets paid her overtime or gets her time off. Again one of your best workers you guys could ever have. She should be training all staff members in the region on customer service and building relationships within the community. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5175 Pacific Hwy include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 30 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5175 Pacific Hwy start from $90 and can go up to $763 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
