I want to give a huge shoutout to Brianna at the Public Storage on 54th Street for her incredible customer service. From the moment I walked in, she was warm, kind, and attentive. I had been struggling to complete my storage unit rental online due to a glitch in the reservation link that wouldn’t let me finalize the process. I was stressed and frustrated, but Brianna turned my entire experience around. She not only greeted me with a smile but went above and beyond to troubleshoot the issue, walk me through my options, and get everything squared away seamlessly. Her patience, professionalism, and genuine desire to help made all the difference. She never once made me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience—instead, she treated me with the kind of care and attention you hope for but rarely experience these days. Brianna’s level of customer service is truly exceptional. She’s knowledgeable, efficient, and has such a positive attitude. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and cares about the people she’s helping. If you’re renting a unit, do yourself a favor and go see Brianna. She’s a gem and a true asset to the Public Storage team. ... Read more

DONT BE FOOLED BY THE FAKE REVIEWS ON THIS PAGE AND THE STARS!!! Notice the company doesn’t respond to the comments of people having problems.. They increase your rent more aggressively then an apartment.. In 1 year my rent has went from 270 to 425.. 15-20 I could understand.. These increases are crazy and overly aggressive.. I am active military simply waiting to move and storage is becoming an issue. ***Update*** I was contacted today and was given a 3 month discount/ delay from this rent increase. Its nice to see that someone cares enough to reach out. But i was told the rent is month to month. Which means no contract and they make their prices what they want. Let this be a guide for you prior to renting here. For long term, not a great idea. ... Read more

Public Storage on 54th St. has the kind of staff that makes you feel like you're walking into a friend's house instead of a storage facility. The ladies at the front desk are always so nice, it’s the main reason I’m sticking around. Honestly, they could probably sell me on keeping a storage unit just for my old mismatched socks. The place is always clean, which is a huge plus. It’s comforting to know my stuff is stored in a place that looks like someone actually cares about it. The staff is super attentive—if you even *look* confused, they’re on it before you can say, 'Where’s my lock?' If you want a clean, safe, and friendly spot to store your things, this is the place. Plus, the ladies up front are the kind of people who could make you forget you’re even paying for a storage unit in the first place. Highly recommend! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1925 54th Street start from $88 and can go up to $526 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
