Amazing Experience!! No scam baiting, told them my budget and exactly what I was looking for over the phone, gave me a great deal. When I arrived Mario was prompt and showed me to my unit. When we got to the unit, he said he didn’t like the one I was given, and took me to a better one for the same deal! So helpful and kind. ... Read more

Prime Storage has large units available and we were able to walk in and get exactly what we needed at a fair price. Cristina was wonderful to work with… she walked us around the property to find the right space and was incredibly thorough with the information she provided. ... Read more

Was told that if I gave enough notice I wouldn’t get hit with any extra fees. Absolutely not true as I was charged $35 for a termination fee. Will never do business through Prime storage again and don’t recommend them. Watch out for those hidden fees! ... Read more

Cristina was AMAZING. She helped me get my first unit ever. Needed it immediately and she helped me get the best price possible in the area. ? I can’t say enough good things about Christina—she’s amazing. So kind, so sweet, and truly a joy to work with. This place is wonderful. There’s a nice breeze, it doesn’t feel depressing, and the prices are great. But honestly, it’s Christina who makes the whole experience exceptional. She never pressures you, she’s incredibly thorough, and she takes the time to show you all the options—different sizes, layouts, everything. She’s just so easy to talk to and genuinely cares. Her customer service is outstanding. And another huge plus—there are no stairs! The drive-up lockers make everything even more convenient. I absolutely love this place! ... Read more

I booked and paid for a storage unit with Prime online and was given a Gate Code to access my unit after booking. I was excited about how easy that was. Upon arrival with a full truck of my belongings, my Gate Code did not work and I was unable to access my storage unit, let alone locate it- despite the fact that my lease had started. When I tried to call for support (because no one was on site on Memorial Day) I was met with condescension and an extreme lack of customer service. If you’re off for the holiday, I get it. But don’t give me directions and access codes that don’t work when I want to move things in because my lease says I can. I was forced to book another storage container, with a different company last minute, since I had a full truck and gracious friends there to assist my move. I’ve tried calling and emailing to cancel my unit… with no success. Today, they sent me an email that said, “How was your experience? Thank you for choosing Prime Storage! Please take a moment to leave us a review.” So here I am. Hopefully this catches your attention this time. I’d like a refund. ... Read more

Although I have only had this storage unit for about 2 weeks or so, I am at this point happy with how the process has gone. Sign up was easy and quick. The guy that helped me gave me all the special pricing to help me out and found me the perfect size unit at a budget I could afford. I love that they stay open until 10pm and that I have not seen a bunch of scum bags hanging around the property like I have at other storage places. So far so good. ... Read more

My husband and I rented a storage unit here for years ( over 10 years) and we went through management changes, but this location has never disappointed us. They have clean and unobstructed streets, the accessibility is easy ( phone/code), the hours to get in/out are fair and the location, on our opinion is the best of all! ... Read more

I do not recommend this location for Prime Storage. The manager here is not nice and has her favorites. I was told when I arrived late in the day with a 26 foot U-Haul by myself that it was ok to stay after hours and that to call and she would let me in. I did and still had more to unload. That night I noticed many people there late and a few living there. However the next time I was there late, she told me to pack up and leave in 3 days after I had loaded in a 10x40 AND a 10x10 by myself. She also kept all my money and wouldn’t reimburse me. Horrible experience. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage - 4595 Mission Bay Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Prime Storage - 4595 Mission Bay Drive start from $134 and can go up to $1,392 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
