What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Pac-It-Away Storage at 9800 Camino Ruiz, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Initially I would have given this storage facility 5 stars. The facility itself is clean.I feel safe. The staff is less than lackluster. When there was an issue with updateing my credit card; they seemed mystified as how to update it in their system. Then at the 6 month mark, I received a letter that they were increasing fees. I expected it to be reasonable, not 55.6%. Only use this place if you're desperate or for a short period of time. You may think its reasonably priced but know they will increase it substantially. ... terrible. Do not rent here. They up there prices EVERY couple months and fail to notify. Send letters in the mail that I never received but can’t do anything because they have a copy on file , but won’t keep copies of my renters insurance that I’ve given to them MULTIPLE times to charge me more. Do not recommend ... Read more

In the almost 2 years that I've been a customer here, they have changed the terms of service for my account 3 times without notice! It seems intentional / scam-y at this point, because how can the same mismanagement and incompetence happen so many times? ... Read more

This place is the absolute worst they are severely infested with rats when I complained about finding droppings in my storage instead of them having professionals come in to handle the rodent infestation the manager came and put bait in the storage then today when I went to check I saw one huge rat in my unit and another running across the pipes over my head. I most definitely will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau because it’s absolutely Ridiculous!!! ... Read more

Terrible customer service. I'm a few days late to get my stuff out but had to drive cross country to arrive. Lost my job, messed up my back, and I have to sell all my stuff to survive right now and they can't even prorate just a few days and want to change me an entire month. Plenty of spots that have better customer service. I'm beyond struggling and now this. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Pac-It-Away Storage - 9800 Camino Ruiz include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 310 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Pac-It-Away Storage - 9800 Camino Ruiz start from $40 and can go up to $825 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
