What a quick and painless process. We were downsizing and moving into one place and Angela made a stressful process really easy. She was so friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate how fast and easy this was. ... Read more

Very nice staff at this storage but I would never rent again or recommend this heated warehouse. My first issue is accessibility. Hours are 9am-6pm which means I either miss lunch during the day or rush to the storage at 5pm after work. Its a total nightmare that puts me in a horrible mood every time. I have to grab all my gear the day before because it doesn't open until 9am. Second its hot and musty. My face is fully wet the entire time at the storage and little flies or nats are in the storage. It's just not a good storage facility weather you need daily accessibility or monthly. Overall it needs an upgrade or at lease air conditioning. Everything is out dated from the warehouse, ceiling, bathroom, and office equipment. No money has been put into the business for more than 15-20 years besides the cameras and gates. It is a perfect location but not for the stress I feel about accessibility and temperature. I would not rent again even if I only needed access twice a month. ... Read more

I haven't had any problems. People in office and those who have storage units here as well, are all friendly. Most storage places don't seem to have bathrooms, ever...this one does. (Which I'm grateful for that) I give it a five star rating, would recommend to family and friends! ... Read more

I’ve had a few different storage rentals in my life because I like to keep seasonal things out of my way when they aren’t in use. I think this is the first one I’ve ever been able to say that the customer service is actually notable. It’s not something I expect or really tho j about much but it’s really nice that when the person on site is doing rounds they’ll actually ask if I need anything while I’m moving stuff around. ... I stored my things (art, furniture, clothes, tools, books, 10'x7' unit) for 7 years, untouched as I moved far out of state. The staff over the years has been exceptional A+++ for them. Unfortunately my stuff has a fair amount of rodent damage. I'm not sure if there's an recourse on that as I carried the insurance offered. I suppose short term storing or if long term you frequent it with traps or rodent deterrent would be ok. Other than the rodent issues everything else was very good. Edit May 2nd Well I have finally laid eyes on my belong today, they have arrived in Alaska. The people moving it had not relayed how bad the rodent damage was. Everything is pooped and peed on. My books are destroyed. I have never in my life seen so much rodent feces. I am really disappointed because the staff at 9th & X have always been great and no one has contacted me as previously commented on here. Also there is no way this wasn't known after I left as the movers took photos of the unit after emptying it and the floor was covered in mouse droppings. I do understand it's probably changed hands a few times but WOW. I stored my thing in various locations in Sacramento and the Bay Area for 20yrs and this is a first. I cannot recommend storing at 9th & X. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at 9th-X Self Storage - 2410 9th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 75 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by 9th-X Self Storage - 2410 9th Street start from $66 and can go up to $182 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
