Read some helpful reviews of Woodcrest Self Storage at 16935 Van Buren Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I called them 4 times, once at 12pm figured maybe they are out to lunch called again at 1 pm figured still around lunch time, called again the next day 9am and then 10 am no answer! I had to leave a voicemail to get a call back. I just wanted to be able to call and have someone assist me on questions because I’m a first time storage renter and even when I got my call back it was horrible customer service I didn’t get any assistance on my questions and the lady on the phone sounded like she didn’t care and she was annoyed saying she had nothing for me instead of trying to figure out how much stuff I had to compare it to what was available. Just left me lost on what options I had.The owner needs to retrain these employees on how to give their customers a good experience. I called Orangecrest Self Storage after and Eric was super helpful- I recommend if your looking for a good place to rent a storage don’t waste your time going here and go to Orangecrest Self Storage! ... Woodcrest Self Storage is a clean, well maintained and secure storage facility. The manager and desk clerks are helpful, friendly and attentive. When I stopped in to inquire about units they offered me bottled water and had a play table to keep my kids occupied while I asked questions. They offered me a variety of unit sizes at reasonable prices. They have a moving truck available for use free of charge as well. I was even given a military discount which is rare these days. When I was delayed returning from deployment the manager worked with me to keep my belongings safe until I returned, there was no pressure about payment and they did not apply any late fees. I highly recommend Woodcrest Self Storage and will continue to use them in the future. ... Read more

The units are not sealed and are dusty and dirty with spiders and saw a rat run through our unit today. 130.00 a month I would expect better. Middle of the day and nobody answers the phone after several tries and no Answering machine. 1 year of storage fees ! We will be moving stuff out. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Woodcrest Self Storage - 16935 Van Buren Blvd include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
