Read some helpful reviews of Pomona 71 Storage at 1710 West 2nd Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The manager there was very nosy and stand offish. I would get to the property and right away he had me felling as is I had to be in a hurry to unload so he could close the frieght elevator door. This is a very secure storage facility. I also felt I was getting over charged I had the smallest unit there yet I still was charged 70 dollars a month for three months then all of a sudden the first month I’m late by two days I notice my total on the paper work was 29 dollars 19 for the unit and 10 late charge. When confronted the manager about this he found a way to kick me so I didn’t even pay the 29 that month ... Read more

I just had a great experience in renting through Pomona 71 Storage. Edgar the manager there was helpful and walked me through the process. He keeps a clean environment and really cares about the well being of the storage units. He honored the original price and made the process quite seamless. He also gave some tips which I appreciated. The unit is convenient and safe. They have cameras that are monitored and recorded along with on site security. They care about the safety of their customers possessions that are on site. . After looking at many different storage places, I thought I would try this one and I am glad I did. I give them five-stars and they deserve each one! ... Read more

They give you one price and once you are in they will charge more than what you were told. They supposedly have a deal where if you bring a new customer you will get a discount which we never got. They charge an arm and a leg. If I could I would rate this company a 0. If you have more than 1 storage unit be very careful because they will charge a late fee for the unit that isn't due at that time. ... Read more

"WARNING" Ever hear the term, "false advertising?" They don't honor printed advertisements..."Bring someone new...we will give you a month free." After you move in...they immediately hike up the rent, the advertised amount you just signed a contract for... (knowing you're trapped and highly unlikely to move again). I don't think this is even legal...if it is...it shouldn't be. If you are late...they "double" the late fees...and tack on "lien fees", which certainly don't apply. The Owner, Sunday (yes, he claims that's his name) plays a nasty game with his Manager. The Manager says..."call the Owner"...who neither answers or ever returns a call. So many "honorable" and available storage facilities to choose from. BE FOR-WARNED!!! Not this one! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Pomona 71 Storage - 1710 West 2nd Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 384 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Pomona 71 Storage - 1710 West 2nd Street start from $79 and can go up to $450 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
