Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 245 Hookston Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

We are now looking for a different storage facility because of how rude the African American girl behind the counter is. You've lost a long time customer and I am sure you don't care. It's a shame you employee someone that treats customers that way. I am loading up my stuff tomorrow. ... Read more

We stored our RV at the Pleasant Hill Public Storage and later found the catalytic converter had been cut and removed. We notified management and filed a police report (1/8/26). The converter was recovered from the facility office storage area and was damaged. Overall, this did not feel like a secure place for outdoor RV storage and communication from management was not clear. We would not recommend this location. ... Read more

This is a busy place. The office is open most of the time. security rounds are conducted more often. The storage roll up doors have a limited height & width but the inside storages are temperature regulated so its comfy sorting out your junk. Just bring extra lighting. As with Public Storage, it's best for short term because the prices creep up every year. ... Read more

Our 2nd floor unit was broken into and it took a week for PS to contact us and the Pleasant Hill Police said they did not report the break-ins to them. They also said PS have their security problems. As it turns out there were at least 6 units that were broken into. Security seems very lacking ie. exterior door are missing cane bolts so they are not secure and no interior cameras. We are missing about $10k in items. We’re moving out, just can’t stay where it’s not safe. ... Read more

Elevator broken, no one available to assist. Website says “property manager lives on site” which couldn’t be further from the truth. Not able to access my unit as the door to stairs is locked. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone wanting a reliable location ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 245 Hookston Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 245 Hookston Road start from $74 and can go up to $351 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
