We have had nightmare issues with storage facilities in the past! But here, Patricia has not only made it doable, she has been sooo helpful with everything we've needed to do! Rolling carts appear, we got water, she's amazing! So yes! I would recommend using this facility just because of how professional and truly nice Patricia is! Hugs, Di Senn ... Read more

Overall a good experience. Petaluma pricing is a little better than Marin County. Clean and temperature modulated. Staff was friendly when they were around. Hours of access are good. Good lighting. Their lock system is streamlined. I like the app that gives you remote control to open opening doors and the gate. East access off the freeway. 4 stars instead of 5 for the following: -The one bathroom for the entire facility (including the staff) was 50% out of order when I was there. This creates a challenge particularly if you are there multiple hours. -Corporate storage places such as “Public Storage” offer a promo intro then jack the price fairly significantly after 1-3 months. If you threaten to leave, they will sometimes do a price adjustment for another few months. If you are renting short term, it’s okay. If you are looking for longer term storage, you may want to get a contracted lower rate if possible. Some of the independent privately owned storage unit units can be more cost stable. Also, they do not prorate your move out date so even if you move out on the first week of the month, you still must pay for the whole month. This was not the case with Easy Storage which I used before. ... Read more

This place is great! It has very reasonable pricing and a large number of spaces, and the third floor is climate controlled. The real highlight though was Mika, she was really kind and funny, a real bright light in our day. She helped us navigate the whole process and gave great customer service. If you ever need a representative, ask for her. She's awesome ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2557 Petaluma Blvd South include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2557 Petaluma Blvd South start from $88 and can go up to $543 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
