I was in need of a storage place who I can trust so I was given information of this amazing storage place, I had the pleasure to meet Ricardo and Jennifer which were also very helpful to me and very informative. I can trust this place with my personal and memorabilia items. I highly recommend this Public storage and will always come back. Thank you for your services. ... Read more

The worst storage place I've ever used. Hand carts are not available unless you find someone in the office to unlock them, and there is almost never anyone in the office. When I moved in, I had to wait 2 hours for someone to get to the office and let me move into the space. Yesterday I was there for 3 hours and did not see anyone in the office and so had to carry everything to my storage unit by hand. The elevator is extremely slow, so it's much faster to go up the stairs if you're able. The building is very stuffy and hot, so you quickly get exhausted moving things around in there. One of my friends had her unit there broken into and a lot of stuff stolen. Will gladly pay more to avoid this place in the future. ... Read more

I didn't realize Public Storage moved to %100 self service until I recently spoke to the manager who said she's not even at the location. Interesting, they should be more up front with their business model. I've had much better experiences with Extra Space Storage. B Wayne Hughes would be rolling in his grave. ... Read more

Poorly managed! No one is ever available in person or by phone. There are also people living in there! It would be nice to be able to report that to someone but there's NEVER a manager or employee available. Avoid at all costs. Extra Space storage had excellent customer service -- go there instead! ... Read more

Ricardo is very pleasant yet professional in guiding me through the registration process. He is so patient and knowledgeable in the selection of the appropriate storage for my daughter. At the same time, Ricardo seems to have an emotional intelligence which is a rare quality to possess. He is indeed an asset to the organization. Hold on to this GEM! Thank you for assisting me. ... There is NEVER anyone in the office and NOBODY EVER answers the phone. Good luck if you ever have any issues! Unless of course you are renting. They'll definitely take your money! I couldn't even get anyone on the line at the corporate office to complain. What happened to customer service. I guess once they get your money, they're done with you! ... Read more

Genesis was fantastic! She was very patient with all of our questions. Public Storage is very lucky to have Genesis. She stayed late on a Friday night to help us. Like many, we are impacted by the Eaton Canyon Fire and needed a safe space to store my husband’s Art. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 171 South Arroyo Pkwy include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 12 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 171 South Arroyo Pkwy start from $76 and can go up to $452 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
