Great customer service from John and Alec. Lost my keys and they got me taken care of in not time. Storage here was simple and never any issue for the 4 months I rented. Always clean bays and carts at customers conscience. Highly recommend ... Read more

Came today to shop for a unit and had a great experience with the on-site manager Alec Madrid. Amazing customer service, answered all my questions and concerns about the unit the area and security. Knows his business well and takes pride in his work. It shows in how thorough he was. The facility is clean and well kept and they really cater to local business and local clients. Would highly recommend over other storage facilities. ... Read more

The need for storage space often comes before or after major upheaval in your life. Ive been a loyal and satisfied customer of Alec Madrid and the gang for over six years. During this period, Alec, especially showed me extraordinary kindness and consideration. Nicole O'Neill heard I was in the hospital and spent time off the clock making sure my unit was closed and secure. Overall, between the cleanliness and maintenance of the property, the reasonableness of pricing, and the stellar standards of the staff, I wouldn't go anywhere else!! ... Read more

Okay, I never really do this whole review thing. Usually, I just keep it pushing, but honestly? I gotta put this out there, because finding a spot (and a person) that actually makes you feel like, you know, a human and not just money walking in the door? That’s basically extinct these days. So, right when I walked in, Alec—the manager—hits me with this real-deal kindness. Not the fake, “I’m being paid to smile” thing. You can tell straight up that he’s proud of what he does and actually gives a rip about people. Look, storage places aren’t exactly known for their cozy feelings or anything, but somehow he’s turned this place into something that almost feels… homey? Safe, at the very least. Like, you could leave your grandma’s priceless vase here and not worry. He didn’t just toss me a key and wave me off to go get lost in some maze of storage units. He actually listened—like, actually listened—to what I needed, broke everything down so I didn’t feel like an idiot, and made sure I wasn’t confused or stressed. He even remembered random little things we’d chatted about and later checked in, just to see if I was cool with how everything was going. Who does that? This guy’s not just clocking in and out. He actually cares about the people who walk through the door. Seriously, it’s rare to meet someone who mixes being a pro with just being an authentic, genuinely good human. If you want a place to keep your stuff and, more important, not lose sleep over it—this is the spot. All because of Alec. Anyway, I’m not usually out here hyping up storage facilities, but here I am. This one? Can’t recommend it enough. ... Read more

Office employees were great. But when I fell behind and my unit was auctioned off no documentation as to how much the unit was sold for. Except I knew someone who worked there and I know what they sold it for but are claiming that it sold for alot lower. They go into your unit and take pictures of the items so they can put it online a week or so before they auction it. I was told that my unit was already at $1000 and I owed $750 and then 6 months later I was contacted by a collection agency telling me that I owe them the $750 still. Even after selling my unit and no documentation for what it sold for only what the person who worked there that I happened to be friends with.So I called the office and the lady told me that the unit sold for $200. Total bullshit . It had everything that I owned. Bed ,couch, a $2000 desktop computer, a 65 inch flat screen tv, nightstands a desk and a lot of tools. Many boxes of shoes which they will open to take pictures of for the auction. And they have the balls to tell me that the highest dollar amount bid on the unit was $200.Do not store your stuff there . They are shady af ... Read more

I was recently had a unit at this location everything was okay with the facility. But my actions that of the desire to work on my motorcycles did not comply with the rules which I completely understand and accept. So therefore my contract was terminated early within one week. Which is totally understandable but was given four days to vacate without no refund of any kind no warning. So I complied without any questioning and the staff the manager Kelly was absolutely professional and wonderful and great at her job. But I cannot say the same for the young man that lives in the house that was 1 hour and 45 minutes late one morning with customers waiting out front. And I was working very hard to make the time of requested to leave but the young man whatever his name is came out violently yelling passing slandering being extremely unprofessional and all aspects I do not know how he holds that position this must be a family-owned business because he would never be able to supervise any kind of employee or manage anything of any kind and any other employment situation. Wrap it up in one thing it was disturbing ... Read more

We all know what storage facilities look like in So Cal, but Security Public Storage easily surpasses the majority. They are very clean, safe, and friendly. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Security Public Storage - 1501 South Coast Hwy include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 24 to 380 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Security Public Storage - 1501 South Coast Hwy start from $101 and can go up to $622 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
