Wonderful place for storage! Management is so kind and truly makes the process easy. I sent an inquiry and heard from Anjie the next day. Showed me multiple options to make sure I was happy with the size and price of the unit. Highly recommend!! ... Read more

Update: still no one from corporate has gone back to me about their whole policy on restricting people who pay good money to get into their storage units. Not storage unit is under my father's name but everyone has stuff in there so is unprofessional for you all to restrict him and all of us for this long extended period of time! We have been here for more than 10 years! Being late leaving several times is not enough for you to restrict our access for this long period of time without a copy of the policy from corporate as you keep saying restricted us! Once again no one refuses to get back to me! I will continue to update these reviews and tell you how awful this place is until I do! The fact is that if he is restricted to 5:00 I should be able to get in until 4:45 the fact I couldn't get in at 4:30 while moving means there is a serious problem with the management on site and corporate! Without us the people who are there on the property wouldn't have a job we have down that property longer than they have and probably will still be there longer than them! I WILL NOT STOP IM GOING TO POST ON EVERY SOCAL ABOUT THIS! I HOPE NO ONE EVER RENTS HERE AGAIN! At this moment in time I would not recommend to anyone! The extremely poor customer service and attitude coming from the new property managers isnt something I'd wish on my worst enemy. I would give zero Stars if I couldn't! My family and I have been storing with this facility for many years. Throughout the many years there have been several different people managing/living on the property, we've always gone along with them and had no problems until the current ones. When we first got there there was an older woman who ran the facility she was very nice and she end up getting promoted which she greatly deserved. After that a young woman moved in and she was very kind very helpful and would love to chat once in awhile. The current couple that is in this facility right now has completely rubbed me and my family the wrong way. The woman in particular seems to be the source of all of the problems. She is nosy and very confrontational. Every time we show up there she has something to say each and every time. Whenever she gets the chance she's always throwing out "our corporate" this "our corporate" that and yet I can't find a corporate phone number or a corporate email to confirm any of these things that she is stating to be true facts. As far as I know the gates are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. if I want to be the full day everyday in my storage unit either rearranging it, taking pictures, taking things in and out it shouldn't be a problem because we are not loitering we are not bothering anyone. We mostly go on weekdays when there is little to no one there. And yet each and every time we are there she has something to say. This is a level of harassment that is beyond inappropriate for a place of business. Especially a place of business that allows the property managers to live on the property. I feel like if people are living on the property they should know customer service 101 not being rude and combative any chance they get. So whether there is corporate or the people who are in charge of the property manager's, I do expect someone to reach out to me about this because I would love to confirm that everything she was saying and doing is corporates doing and is allowed. I take someone harass my family members and i very seriously and enough is enough! We have been storing at this facility longer than almost anyone else there including these new property managers. This isn't how you treat people let alone long term customers! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Newbury Park Self Storage - 312 Giant Oak Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Newbury Park Self Storage - 312 Giant Oak Avenue start from $40 and can go up to $386 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
