Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 505 Monterey Pass Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

When we first started with Go Store It, it wasn't too bad. Clean facility overall (minus the bathrooms which can get horrendous) . We weren't told about an introductory rate and had the same rate for quite a bit of time. Then all of a sudden, it doubled. We were told it was because of the size of unit that we have which was incorrect in their system. So we were able to bring it down to where it should've been for our size. Fast-forward 3 months, it doubles again. If you can help it, stay away from here because they consistently gouge their customers over time and rely on the hassle it takes to move things to keep you stuck. The overseas call center typically is dismissive but US based understand the units a bit more and are more helpful. ... Read more

Here's what I love...the area where it's located. It appears safe. The promotions are incredible. I only wish that they lasted longer and that there was a gradual increase over time. The storage facility is usually clean. I attempted a bunch of times to get in touch with the Manager of the facility to get another Storage unit. It was difficult to connect with her. Once I did, Elizabeth was accomodating. A couple of times there have been no carts to use. Price increases happen too frequently. I think loyal customers and customers with multiple storage units should be offered a discount versus rate increases. The increases certainly should not be above the market rate. ... Read more

I gave 5 stars for customer service and unit. Only negative is after promotion, rate increase to regular rate which is over $200. 3 month of promotion is good but I rather have long term rate with reasonable rate. I can see $100 per month and raise 5 to 10% every six months. I was paying $51 during promotion rate and increased $195. That is way too much. Oh well that’s how all storage works. ... Read more

Nice facility. Good staff. Be careful of predatory pricing though. I was told when I signed up for my unit by the staff that the increases from the promotional web pricing could be higher after a few months. They recommend signing up with their regular pricing I went with their recommendation as I needed to store my items for approximately 1 year.. However, despite this, I received a letter saying that my rent will increase by 50% after 3 months!!! I called their call center and this was adjusted to only 25% increase after 3 months (big whoop). I asked what the regular initial rent would be for a similar unit and the price was actually even lower than my current rent (before the increase). Obviously, the pricing is not based on an actual cost increase. I've had other storage units and the price did not increase this quickly. However, I think the entire industry needs to be monitored or regulated for more transparent pricing. This kind if increase is ridiculous. ... Read more

My husband and I went in to get a 10x15 unit today, and had the pleasure of meeting both Dan and Chris. They were both so kind and professional and were very thorough in explaining the rules to us. The customer service was absolutely stellar and we appreciated them taking the time to explain things to us, since it was our first time renting. It was clear that they both care about their customers and they take pride in the work they do. Would absolutely recommend this storage facility, to anyone looking. The prices were great, but the customer service was on another level! I came back here again today and had a lovely interaction with the manager Chris. He is truly one of a kind and provides excellent customer service. My husband and I were considering leaving to store our belongings with a family member, and Chris retained our business because of his incredible service. He’s the best! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 505 Monterey Pass Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 505 Monterey Pass Road start from $79 and can go up to $460 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
