Adrian Spicer is the worst employee in the extra space storage. I was going to extend my storage. However ,due to the altercation with Adrian Spicer, I decided to leave the premises. Adrian made my life a hell! I was forced to leave because of Adrian. If you are white or black , you should be good treated well. Adrian is races to some Asian group. He makes rule that is not even on the contract. This should be discussed prior to signing the lease agreement. I rented at Extraspace before for parking spot in El Segundo but never had any issues with the worker. My job is to store my precious property in your storage not to get verbally harassed, insulted, and almost poked his finger on my eye. Adrian spittle went on my face while he was screaming and chiding me for not opening the door all the way.
As I stated previously the rule was not discussed with me in writing neither verbally prior to signing the lease. I did not used up all the days I paid for the space. I was not able to sort out all the stuffs that I needed to work on. Adrian is an evil person. I am seeking to get my almost $2,000 I paid for the space. Adrian ousted me. That I need to vacate his storage space ( he is the owner now huh?!). The police were almost got called. I was just so busy on those days I came. I don’t have time to argue with a races individual! It’s rare these days to come across outstanding customer service — it feels like a lost art. But the manager, Adrianne, at Extra Storage Space in Marina del Rey is the exception.
From the moment I walked in, he was not only professional, friendly, and helpful, but he went above and beyond to solve a very unique problem for me. My company’s business manager — the only name listed on my account — is suffering from Parkinson’s. When I arrived to empty the unit, my name wasn’t on the account, I didn’t have keys, and I didn’t even know which space was ours.
What could have been an impossible situation was made simple because of Adrianne’s empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills. He treated me with respect, listened carefully, and took the initiative to make sure everything was handled smoothly.

The team at extra space was super helpful in helping me find the right unit for a large purchase I needed to store during the move. The unit was clean and I didn't have to worry about my items being safe. I had signed up for a monthly deal and let them know I would be moving out of the unit after 1 month, I forgot to cancel and they called me to make sure everything was out and refunded me the second month! The indoor storage units have a weird musty smell, probably like mothballs. It is off-putting. Because of this I am not going to store my winter clothes or bedding comforter blanket unless if it’s in an air tight space vacuum bag. Other locations have concrete floors, no smells. This place has carpets. I wish the access hours were later like other locations. Other than that I am mostly happy so far. I think the storage unit facility is a franchise, so their rules and pricing increases are different from other storage facilities by ExtraSpace. Read the contract carefully to know your specific rate increases.
