Read some helpful reviews of California Self Storage at 1338 West Yosemite Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I've been a customer for a decade. I'm not happy that my storage fees have increased again. This state is choking every penny and this doesn't help. I pay insurance on my unit. No late payments. Yet up it goes. I'm sorry this company is so poor that they have to do this. I always trusted this storage. Never a problem with security. Now I have to go through recordings just to get to a staff member. ... Read more

California Storage was great when it was managed by Sarah Davis and her husband. I started paying a reasonable amount of $148.monthly for my storage unit, but there was a change of management and now it’s managed by StoragePro and the price has increased significantly. I was told that the owners are attorneys who are owners of other businesses and they don’t seem to care about the storage rent being affordable. They are money hungry and keep raising the rents. I am disabled and have no idea how or when I would get my belongings out of the unit I have so I have to keep paying and I’m on social security and that doesn’t pay over $700 a month. My rent started at $148. and it’s been increased a few times to reach the current amount of $201. I need to get my belongings out before they raise the rent again. ... Read more

I live out of town. I have had my storage for over 15 years. As time went on the cost of my storage has gone up tremendously since your company took over, and now I can't afford to continue renting so I had to remove my belongings from your facility. Every time I did go to my storage Lyndia was always there, she was absolutely a wonderful person, she was always helpful, friendly and so sweet ??. She always went out of her way to help anytime you needed something. Thank you Lyndia I will always remember you and appreciated your help. I hope you continue to succeed in your journey in life. ... My experience was good up to when Storage Pros took over. Nightmare from the jump. Rae increases and extra fees for everything. Felt like a scam. Ended up packing and moving my stuff out. Found a newer storage company, that gave me a move in special for $1 1st month, with twice the space for less noney. Went from a 5x10 to a 10 x 10 and saved money monthly. It was a no brainer. I loved the old ownership. I will never rent from Storage Pros again!!! ... Read more

I was worried when I found out about the changes in management. Juan has been great though and eased my nerves. I live out of state and need a good relationship with management. He has been extremely helpful and has gone above and beyond. He has gone the extra mile when I needed extra help due to a family emergency. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at California Self Storage - 1338 West Yosemite Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by California Self Storage - 1338 West Yosemite Avenue start from $84 and can go up to $313 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
