I loved this public storage until recently. When I first rented a unit, the property manager was super helpful, and i really felt like I was being taken care of. I had zero issues for about five months. Clean facility, easy access, busy times are reasonable. However, the front automatic sliding doors have been broken for almost two months. When I first happened upon it at night, I called the number on the door but was just taken for a ride through Public Storage’s customer service line. So I wasn’t able to access my unit. Then I went during the day, and was given a generic number to access another door. No big deal, except now when I load up my car for pop-up markets, I have to walk through the entire building four times just to do one load. I lose so much time/money from this. After a month I asked the property manager (different from the one who rented me my unit) if there was an eta on when the door will be fixed. He got very frustrated very fast and said it wasn’t his responsibility that someone broke it. Hate to break it to you but, that’s literally your job. I’ve contacted public storage corporate, and they also have no ability to see when the repairs will be completed. I know technically he’s working with whatever public storage’s corporate policy is on repairs. But seriously no one can even give me an eta and it’s been almost two months. People who don’t know the generic code are locked out and the property manager is nowhere to be found and not answering the phone - because public storage does not hire enough people, or communicate the door is broken to those renting online. I’ll be happy to change my review when the doors are repaired or I get an eta. Edit: doors have been fixed! They’re a bit crazy now but I can’t complain. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3773 South Durango Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3773 South Durango Avenue start from $181 and can go up to $477 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
