Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1702 South San Pedro Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I was really disappointed in this facility. Not only did this place go up in prices like every 6months-to a year, but it seems like they know they have people living inside their storage units. I was grabbing some stuff once during the morning when I noticed someone come out a storage unit with their bike, to me it looked like they were living out of the unit. This wasn’t the first time I seen, it got to the point the I didn’t feel comfortable going alone. It crazy how much they go up in price, now I see why, it’s profit for them. This is the reason why I left. ... Read more

I’ve been a tenant here for quite a while now, and I’ve had a consistently positive experience. The facility is clean, well kept, and feels secure. Quick shout-out to Patty, who works here and does a great job. She’s always attentive, friendly, and clearly takes her responsibilities seriously. Any time I’ve needed help or had a question, she’s been easy to talk to and quick to assist, which I really appreciate. Overall, this is a reliable, well-run storage facility with great staff and business hours. I recommend. ... Read more

misleading signage. idk if i’m just dumb and can’t comprehend things or if this sign is completely misleading. i got charged $75 for throwing away 3 cardboard boxes in this bin. i read the sign & honestly thought this storage place was nice enough to provide us with a recycling bin to “help us keep your place clean”. i thought the “no dumping” part meant no dumping around the bin, u know, like littering? like why even add first part? just leave the latter… i feel like they could’ve just waived the fee & left it at a warning considering it was an accident??! but nope. really left a bad taste in my mouth. i feel like i got scammed for $75 & now im paranoid they’ll tack on some other unforeseeable fee. they even dug through the trash & found my name on the boxes… like dang that’s cold. it’s like u don’t trust ur own residents. other than that the elevator is confusing to operate. the dollie’s they provided were nice but now they’re just gone & inaccessible. at least i know my stuff will be safe here considering how difficult it is to get into my own storage unit lmao ... Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1702 South San Pedro Street start from $149 and can go up to $260 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
