HIGHLY recommend! All around solid from cleanliness, integrity, on point, and even compassion. Tucker had patience and kindness in the way he supported my late payment process. (one could say embarrassing for me but he didn’t make it so). Curtis was also great with customer service. Technology available to support billing. The building is huge yet very well kept. Honestly not much dust and zero problems after opening “my vault” after 3 years. I rented from the pandemic onwards til March 2025 despite having left LA. I trusted my items to be safe + good condition, and indeed they were! PS- This is only my second time renting a unit in LA area so one other company to compare. Big difference ... Read more

I had loaded all my possessions into a 15 foot U-Haul, when I had to vacate my apartment, with no extensions, thinking I would find an apartment quickly. After 2 weeks U-Haul wanted the truck returned. I had to find a solution immediately. I called LA Security Storage, fearing there would be nothing available in the area close to where I would likely move. They helped me get a fairly large unit, that was a perfect size, and, brought my costs down to 25% of what I was paying U-Haul. With the help of 2 others we had everything in the storage unit, in about 4 hours, from my Initial phone call. Curtis & Gregory went “beyond the call of duty” keeping us up and down the elevators, making sure we had all the help we needed on their part. The unit, and all we saw of the building was clean and well maintained. I definitely recommend their services, especially if you’re looking in Hollywood and it’s surrounding areas. Tell ‘em David sent you! LOL! ... Read more

I love this place. Friendly staff. Independently owned and operated. Yesterday upgraded from a smaller storage unit to a larger one to accommodate more items. Move was easy peasy as our new unit was on the same floor as our older one. Unlike most storage places their rent increases are not outrages. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at L A Security Storage - 6372 Santa Monica Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
