DO NOT GET A STORAGE UNIT HERE!!! They are infested with rats and do not help you or do anything about it. The guy at the front desk was no help with the situation and had the audacity to say “I’m not an exterminator” when I asked him what they do about the situation. There were 3 DEAD rats in my unit and a dead rat inside one of my boxes. The guy said they have an exterminator come once a week but I could hear rats crawling in the walls and on the ceiling. Also it smelled so bad like rats and poop it made all my stuff reek. I asked the guy if they go inside or clean up and he said no we don’t go inside the unit. He literally was useless and kept saying “idk what they do we don’t go inside the unit” Worst customer service ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! ZERO STARS! ... Read more

Their alarm goes off every single night from 11pm to 5am, because they can’t supervise their property efficiently and have homeless encampments frequenting the grounds of their establishment. Please silence your alarm, as it’s obvious you aren’t doing anything to resolve these problems. You’re keeping the entire surrounding neighborhood awake and restless. Please fix this problem immediately by silencing your nightly alarms, or take the initiative to resolve your homeless problem. DON’T rent here. ... Read more

Great location! Secure, clean, and the staff is excellent. Ethan, in particular, made me feel at ease that my things would be OK here. He also gave a very detailed breakdown of how the monthly payments would work. Kind, caring, and knows what he’s doing! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2506 Atlantic Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
