DO NOT RENT HERE. This company is extremely shady. They will charge you before your payment is due, overcharge, send you invoices for nearly a thousand dollars “by accident” in hopes you’ll pay. The people working there are incapable of doing their very basic jobs and WILL scam you under the guise of “not knowing”. I’ve had several rental units in my life and have never had any problems. This place is TERRIBLE. ... Read more

I only rented out a unit for a little over 2 months during Jan-March 2021. I ended up leaving sooner than I needed because my storage unit was broken into and over $1000 worth of my possessions were stolen. The overall response to that left me uneasy and I ended up moving out what remained of my items. In my time there, I mainly had interactions with a woman whose name I can't remember, she wasn't the manager, but was excellent and super helpful. I currently rent a room and so the majority of my possessions were in the storage unit. The unit was located in one of their buildings that also had a separate code (besides the gate code) to get into. From that alone, I know whomever broke into my unit either has both a gate code & a door code or they were able to get by both of them. It was also a two door unit, with 2 latches on each door. So I had 4 cylinder locks and I thought my unit was secure. I also went to the unit at least once a week in Jan/Feb, but got complacent and didn't go in March until the day I found out I was robbed. I discovered I was robbed when the items that had been on the left side of my unit were missing. I immediately went to the office and the employee on duty responded right away, even though she'd never dealt with this situation before (same woman I mentioned above). One of the latches had been cut through, but all of my locks were fine. I don't know how they got into my unit. She called the district manager and made me feel like the situation was under control. I was told tape would be put on my doors so if anyone tried to enter, they'd be able to tell. The day after I went to meet with a manager/figure out how the unit would be secured going forward and was disappointed. The tape they had put on the door wasn't something that would rip off or show if someone had opened the door. They were tiny warning labels that barely reached across the seam and came off the wall when the door was open. Then seeing them initially try to secure a new latch on with a plastic screw was the second strike for me. The latch was barely being held on and when I called and asked if they could secure the latch, the person made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Between that and a comment I heard (they don't know I heard this), I was feeling uneasy and I ultimately decide to move out my belongings. They haven't contacted me about the incident since, like about them reviewing the cameras, etc. I filed a police report, hoping that leads somewhere. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at RightSpace Self Storage - 180 San Felipe Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by RightSpace Self Storage - 180 San Felipe Road start from $54 and can go up to $410 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
